The guitar playing is strong as always!
The lyric feels pretty light, or at least it doesn't convey much to me.
I didn't listen to the album, so I don't know how much context that applies to this specific track.
I feel like some…

I don't really understand this one. Mora, but I'm happy to get lost in the music. There are some long pauses in there between lyrics, perhaps a little too long? Moody and evocative as always!

Hello and welcome!
I like the message, and the overall mood seems like a good fit for it: contemplative. But I feel like it needs some more evocative imagery to capture it. "Like a child chasing butterflies, this moment is all there is." or…

Just a quick update to say the new review and approve system is working so far. I've rejected around 30 applications and approved 1 since switching it over, and the process so far has been quick and easy.

Thanks Chris! Nice to know I still have some surprises left in me! And welcome back 😀

Maybe there's a business opportunity here for you, Rob?

Love that bluesy vocal! That's the highlight for me.
The gambling metaphors work really well too
Good strong chorus.
I don't really understand the "Loogoo" reference beyond being a slur on "Look who".

Monetization would very likely keep the bots down! That's a big step though, and not one I'm keen to make.
In terms of new members, it's been about half a dozen a day, though most are fake. My concern is that the fake ones could very easily…

I have switched the user registration across to "approval" mode. New users can self-register, but they won't be able to do anything until I review and approve them. We'll see how many we get and whether I can handle the volume or not.

@robwills Beats me Rob! I can only imagine that after establishing their "credentials" by posting lyrics they s…

It's amazing what the AI music sites can do. And I imagine it's wonderful to hear your lyrics set to music, even if it's not quite what you have in your head. You joined a songwriting site after all, not a poetry one!
AI generated music is …

A wonderful moody and atmospheric track. Some great lines there:
Cutting thro days with the sharpest of knives
Another reflection of stranger me
I’m waiting for bones (that's dark!)
I find it far too easy to relat…

Coming along beautifully. Are you singing parts of this in a lower register now?
Is the video something you've filmed for the song, or something you've been able to adapt? Either way it seems a good fit for this song, and I think having a v…

I really like the B section in this. 2/4 Timing. Feels like every word lands with the thud of a bass drum.
It's a great lyric for Halloween!
-
Thanks for the clarification RK! I don't think I'll go down that route, but it's interesting to hear how other people approach things.
-
"Imagined Moments" is a great title! Catchy and evocative and very fitting.
-
There's a lot to like here. It's full of emotion, and it feels real and poignant.
And it's already well structured into Verse/Chorus/Bridge.
You make good use of rhyme, but there's a couple of spots where it doesn't (like 'blame' in t…

That's wild! But if it works for you... Sometimes we just need a trigger to get us into the right mindset.

Not bad at all! Darn site better than I would manage. Love the ticks at the start!
Nicely done.

Not big into covers Sid. Why listen to me when you can hear the original? Wild Horses is a good song of course.

True dat! Thanks Joseph!…

I love that funky bass line Mora! Marcus has done really well with that.
The vocal layering is another feature for me.
It's a good one. Enjoyed that!

Rob I believe there are a number of AI music sites that can now take an audio file as a reference and create a "cover" from that. But to the best of my knowledge these are all paywalled features at the moment. Suno and Udio both have this feature…

"By the time I finish singing this song" is a great title and hook, and it makes for a good story too.
I really like the chorus, but the melody in the verse feels a bit indistinct and doesn't stick in my mind afterwards.
Thanks everyone for listening and for your comments and suggestions!
@sidshovel I think you hit all the …
Lovely guitar work as always. That intro got me right in.
I'd like to hear a little more melodic variation in the chorus, it's largely in a narrow range right now.
The lyric doesn't really grab me. It feels like I'm watching someone f…
Reading the lyrics I was expecting a much darker, moodier song, but it's quite upbeat! Not sure if that is for contrast, or whether it just happened that way. Listening to it was quite enjoyable, but I would never have picked the theme.
This one doesn't speak to me as much, but I think that's just a personal reaction. I do think there will be people who enjoy it.
You might consider "won't bring you back to me" rather than "can't" (if you haven't already!!)
You've gotten a lot more up close and personal than I ever have RK!
Well, in that case I like everything in the music
Howdy, Stranger!
