In the late 90s, the band Garbage, with lead singer Shirley Manson, had numerous international alt-rock hits. Among those, my favorite was "Special".

"Stupid Girl" and "No. 1 Crush" are also cool tracks from the group that I still enjoy. 😀

I know of the band, but I've never really listened to them. Thanks for this heads up!

Kim Deal (of The Pixies, The Breeders, The Amps) has a solo album that just came out, and I am utterly enchanted by the title track: Nobody Loves You More

I love Lucinda ❤️ Williams! Need to get back to listening to her more. She tells some of the best stories and a soulful voice.

I love that song. Incidentally, I grew up in Illinois in the '80s and used to get Casmir Pulaski day off of school every year :-)

I have always loved Warren Haines, from his time with the Alman Brothers, to his current band Government Mule. What a great show if you get a chance to see them live.

Also, Grand Funk Railroad is my favorite 3-piece band from my youth.
