I can imagine this done in a heavier rock style too, perhaps with rolling drumbeats to give it a military feel.
The chorus is very strong.

After listening to it again, I have a tendency to agree with you. A heavier rock style and stronger vocals would indeed complement the theme more. Might run it through again using those prompts to hear the result. I'll let you know if your right.

It's a song with such a sad color... like what it describes, very nice arrangement, it doesn't take away importance from what the voice says, good changes, really good, I liked everything a lot.
