Stuck On You Like Glue (Lyrics by Carroll Kiphen)
Hi folks . . . last month on this site I was reviewing some lyrics posted by @carroll
He graciously allowed me to tweak a few lines to fit with this song idea. Originally, I thought the lyric could work as a driving rock and roll song, but it turned out to be more of a pop ballad, my usual thing. Let us know what you think of our collaboration.

STUCK ON YOU LIKE GLUE
I was an eagle in the sky.
I was free as the wind.
One season and I’d leave ‘em
Never look back her way again
I was running from love, running from love
When I ran into you.
Now I couldn’t leave if I was to try
Did not have a clue
How I spent my days,
Without those eyes of blue
I was running from love, running from love
When I ran into you . . . ran into you
Now I’m Stuck on you, stuck on you.
Stuck on you like glue
And I’m lost in love, fallen in love
I’ll never run . . . since I ran into you
I was a tiger on the prowl.
Free to do as I pleased.
Like a hit and run driver.
I’d love ‘em then I’d leave
I was running from love, running from love
When I ran into you . . . ran into you
Now I’m Stuck on you, stuck on you.
Stuck on you like glue
And I’m lost in love, fallen in love
I’ll never run . . . since I ran into you

Bridge
Now I'm here at the store, looking at rings
I never know what the next day brings
Mercy let it be . . . hope you’re stuck on me
I’m Stuck on you, stuck on you.
Stuck on you like glue
And I’m lost in love, fallen in love
I’ll never run . . . since I ran into you
Now I’m Stuck on you, stuck on you.
Stuck on you like glue
And I’m lost in love, angel fallen from above
I’ll never run . . . since I ran into you

The pop ballad is a great fit to these lyrics. I like the 6/8 timing.
And I think that chorus is going to be stuck in my head now! Really nice! And the "running from love, running from love" is also really catchy
Backing vocals and harmony are sweeteners.
A piano might work well in the accompaniment if you have the opportunity.
Great track! I think your collab worked very well indeed!

Really excellent song, I liked it very much indeed.
One for my best folder
I have to mention one thing that's bugging me however, it's minor but I gotta pick it!
The word "GLUE" doesn't fit with the rest of the context, it's like an elephant in the room.
Something softer maybe?
"stuck on you, it's true"?

Thanks for your comment and response Owen @RainyDayMan glad you found some things catchy, that's always the hard part in translating pop music, my catchy is not always everyone else's. I've got a rhodes piano panned right in places, in the verses, I tried to downplay that in the chorus because the guitar groove really seemed to work there, and didn't want to mess with that and cover it up too much.

Thank you Sid @sidshovel for your enthusiasm about it ! I totally get what you're saying about the word "Glue"
When I first read Carroll's lyric, I wondered about it, but still found something lighthearted about it, something pop listeners might find amusing . . . so, as with my other collaborations with Carroll, I just went with it. When I write my own lyrics, they usually tend to be very serious . . . so, writing a song with a lyricist is very helpful for me to tread into a new territory of songwriting . . . and I really do like collaborating online, since I don't play in a band anymore !
