Well that can be a problem

Bill, I didn't mean you had been over there... Just remember you saying that there was someone over there that thinks everyone should hear his opinion.

Oh I see :). everybody there :)

You might be right.

What do they say, "you don't know what you've got until it's gone"!

Not missing Muse, that's for sure

Owen, would it be too presumptuous to ask if you are going to consider posting your own songs on another forum and still comment on others.

@sidshovel I haven't been writing much of late! Probably been 6 months+ since I wrote a song. I do think I will at some point and will then be looking for somewhere to post. I'm going to be here until the end of May then I'll go looking. I'll likely take a look at Marsha's site. I used to be on Just Plain Folks and probably still have an account there, but I've not even touched it in a decade.
If anyone has a site they would personally recommend, by all means post it here, as Marsha did. That's a helpful service to others (including me!) I can't give you a definitive answer, as I don't know myself yet!

@RainyDayMan I know I speak on behalf of the majority of people here when I say I hope you will. Many people's songwriting skills are where they are today because of you and that singular character and skill will be sorely missed by many if you don't.

I wanted to say thank you to everyone for your kindness and understanding re the closure of the site. I really appreciate that.
If you wanted to do something for me personally it would be this: leave early.
There is a burst of activity at the moment, and that is understandable, but it will be much easier to close the doors at the end of May if the place is already empty and echoing.
If I can think of you all as being already settled into your new homes and posting away, it will feel less like I am letting you down.
Regardless, the site will stay open until the end of May. There are members who only drop in occasionally and they deserve a chance to read these messages and understand what is happending rather than just being unable to login one day.
And we all process things in different ways. There may be some of you who wish to show respect by posting more, or simply to make the most of the site whilst it is here. I respect that.
But I thought it was worthwhile sharing where my head is at. It isn't easy to do this, but the site is closing, and moving on is actually the kindest thing you can do right now.

This sounds like it's a really difficult but essential decision for you. You were always the first to comment on my songs, when I rarely posted. Always with something sensible and constructive. Then weird comments would appear from a couple of others and I would think I was going mad.
Luckily, another member contacted me directly and said many on here had felt attacked by some who were flooding the site with multiple daily AI creations, and making rude personal comments couched as song criticism. Rather than stay in a schoolyard those adult members had left the site for pastures saner. Looks like this site has been effectively killed by people who thought their 8 dollar Suno subscriptions made them songwriting experts. That is a real shame.
Other sites I'd recommend are https://songcrafters.org/ and https://homerecording.com/. Songcrafters allows zero AI songs as shown in this thread https://songcrafters.org/forum/index.php?topic=37193.0. Not sure about HomeRecording.
Good luck, friend.

Yes, I get this Owen. Trust me you are not letting anyone down. It's been a pleasure being a part of TSF, but I will move on now. Hoping I'll bump into you and other members, past and present, on one or more of the other forums. I wish you and everyone well.

I studied 30 years with hit writers , Suno has nothing to do with what I write . You just wanted a atta boy on your song , like most people . You have fun over there where you're going . Ai's here to stay . So get used to it . You just have no sense of humor . Life's a joke . Better get used to that also , or you'll die 10 years sooner . Adults can't write songs , never could . There to busy judging people . Ya have to act 13 years old to write a decent song , Its one of them rules I was talking about .

With every generation, there are the hold outs that get left behind. without change, then things become stagnate.

Well ya gotta watch the Gen Z ones and the f bombs in every song . Not sure Sargent Mcnally in World War 2 , mentioned things like that in a song . It was more like see you in the Stardust sky by the silvery moon. Sex was not invented until they made 57 cheveys and by a river . Yes I googled it , Sex started in 1957 , Somebody spotted steamed up windows . Probably that sheriff thats a alcoholic
