That's How It Goes
Don't know if anyone can relate to this... just a little novelty I came up with last year on one of my fishing docks.
Let me know what you think?
That's How It Goes
Words & Music by Thomas Tognaci
https://soundclick.com/song/14612575
See the dude in the cowboy hat
belly up at the bar?
He just lost some pretty little thing
Who dropped him for a car
So, there he sits, taking hits,
Crying in his beer
drinking rounds to drown the hounds
he cannot bear to hear
Thats how it goes
Theres just no use in crying
You can lay the blame
But in your heart, youd know youre lying
Thats how it goes
You may sink, or you might swim
but if you cant get wet
best not jump in
Take the old man in the souped-up Vet
with that darling by his side
You gotta wonder whos the fool
taking who for a ride
These are the days, anyways,
Sign me up for some
pretty words from pretty birds
with lovely silver tongues
well.
Thats how it goes
Theres just no use in crying
You can play the game
But in your heart, youd know youre lying
Thats how it goes
You may sink, or you might swim
but if you cant get wet
best not jump in
Now, theres a guy who gets it right
You wont see him fall apart
Hes the kind that will keep his head
With matters of the heart
He keeps it cool, hes no fool
He knows, with romance,
its better to love and lose
than to never give love a chance
Thats how it goes
Theres just no use in crying
You can play the game
No extra point for trying
Thats how it goes
You may sink, or you might swim
but, if you dont get wet
youll never win

Interesting lyric. Reminds me of one I wrote about a year ago using an "orphan instrumental" (a leftover, unused track from one of the Suno instrumentals that didn't really fit the song I was writing." The tag line became "If you want to be somebody's baby, - Gotta risk being somebody's fool." Now, I'll go listen.

Good lyric that gets a lot better when played and sung. Great concept. Now on Soundclick, is that you singing?

relate to what? there is nothing in your lyrics that's relatable. you just list things. most of your writing is from the outside in.
You're also not saying that your "covers" are done in Suno, so technically the music isn't yours if you're using Suno to produce the music based on your lyrics. However, if you're upload your audio into Suno and using Suno to mix, that's another story, I suspect that's not the case.

Your giving Tom a hard time lol

We all have to put when itβs suno or not π0

ha ha ha its obvious aint it . Yes I pushed a button and took all the credit lol. unless you pay the session players you stole it from and record yourself in a studio . then I'll call it justice . I'll call it the Nashville tradeoff , cuz there ain't fucking thing they can do about it . Let me call Nicky V in Nashville see If I can afford another song

So what? I've talked to a lot of people from all over that find this really good... AND RELATABLE.
You don't. Too bad. I guy can always hope π
And I don't use suno to write anything. Even the awesome guitar licks are my own... Only suno does them waaayyy better.

Paid subscribers do not have to credit Suno. The music is bought and paid for by you and me. Before I subscribed, I made many email inquiries to their office legals.
These covers are mine... it's my music, just as though if I were to have some Nashville hillbilly do my cover. I don't have to credit him, either.
And I think, by now, you all have heard my music enough to know it's mine.

Hi H... when I hit the URL for this song, it takes me to a different one on Soundclick. Are you hearing "That's How It Goes"
Thanks for listening and commenting, BTW π
And that is suno singing, not me π

on this site Tom, if you use Suno to create the music then you have to specify.

The only thing suno does for me is the production.
And you know that... or at least you should, by now.

Show some respect to Owen. those are his rules. I don't give a fuck what you think about me, but at least honor Owen. You barely show up to post your own songs and you don't have the decency to comment on any other track. that's disrespectful,

Owen Has NEVER brought up anything like that up to me. He has commented on ALL of my songs and has remarked how great the Suno productions are. He has also requested the originals so that he can compare.
Mind your own business, B. And try being a little more cordial.
If Owen requires it, I will happily post both original and suno produced versions.

I'm not talking about him commenting, You don't.
too funny, or what?

Ok guys, let's ease back a little please.
To clarify the site rules:
If AI has been used on the track, that should be noted in the post, specifying how - lyrics, music creation, or as a cover of your own music. That way if anyone is dead set against AI they have the option not to listen or comment. But using Ai itself is fine.
Re the song: enjoyed it. Had my feet tapping! Always enjoy your songs, Tom π

With every paid subscription to Suno it comes with a case of Walmart oil . So when the robots slips you lube them up
Nashville hillbillys you have to buy them Jack Daniels

This will be my disclaimer:
This is an AI production that adheres to the original in a covered work. This is a cover of an existing song that closely follows the original's melody, lyrics, and structure. It maintains the core elements and essence of the original work while adding a high production value and, in some instances, various instrumentations. Above all, as the author of this song, I want to make clear that this production respects the original composition entirely.
This is in order to clear up and distinguish myself from those who can't write music without the help of AI.
And BTW, thanks Owen π

This has to be one of the funniest responses I've heard in a long while.
There are some people who need AI to breathe life into the lyrics.
What's even funnier is that the usage of AI, is now not only for the musicians who don't have the musical background to create music, but by those who actually have talent and success to use AI to generate demos and samples, then, like what Elvis does, record them with humans. Sad, that cuts into the work done by session musicians, but that's life.
So, the premise that AI is only used by those without musical talents is incorrect. Beat a different drum. This one is worn out.
Do you upload your MP3 or Wav file into suno, then based on that have generate the music, or do you just put your lyrics in, I'm just curious what your process is. :)

I put in a wav file to submit an original. But I thought that was apparent with the explanation above. I guess you didn't read it then.
I'm glad you find it amusing. That's my intent. No need to get huffy or sarcastic, B. You have a nice and wonderful day.

Well the ones I know are pretty busy in Nashville , The robots are just a distraction . I'm sure you hear WTF alot lol

Owen is going show up pretty soon . now gentlemen

this conversation, like the other has run its course. as far as I'm concerned. belaboring it serves no purpose. I can't control what other's think, only my reaction. Tom's going to think what Tom's going to think.
