[intro]
Oh,oh!
[verse 1]
It was a frigid and blustery day
As we set out for the Quandary Bay ,
The waves spit, a frozen mist around mid October ....
I knew the track but eyed the map
As we splashed through the white caps,
Fall in at 7 centigrade and your trip will be over…
(YO! HO!)
[chorus]
We hardly spake on the rough lake
Where Only the tough survive (HEY!)
If you want a tale then brave the gale
And Catch a fish that could eat a man alive.....(ohhh..ohhhh...)
[verse2]
I went to the bow and cast my hook
Hoping a muskie would give it a look,
Perhaps my luck would turn as clouds part into sunshine....
We drifted over the ol' sand bar
As the Captain puffed on his short cigar,
I Got a surprise when I felt a tug, on my fishing line….
(YO! HO!)
[chorus]
We hardly spake on the rough lake
Where Only the tough survive (HEY!)
If you want a tale then brave the gale
And Catch a fish that could eat a man alive....(ohhh..ohhhh...)
[verse 3]
I gave a pull and loosened the drag
It was taking line as it swam ,
Back and forth I fought the battle of a life time....
We got it up and netted the monster fish
I wanted a big one and I got my wish,
I hoisted up the beast no fewer pounds than 45….(45!)
[chorus]
We hardly spake on the rough lake
Where Only the tough survive (HEY!)
If you want a tale then brave the gale
And Catch a fish that could eat a man alive....(ohhh..ohhhh...)
[Build-up]
[Outro]
(Hey!..Hey!...Hey!)
[chorus]
We hardly spake on the rough lake
Where Only the tough survive (HEY!)
If you want a tale then brave the gale
And Catch a fish that could eat a man alive.......

"Catchy" 😉song. Wouldn't spake on the lake, sound a bit better? let the listener decide why you don't spake? You have a killer inner rhyme going. just my opinion.. the music is the perfect complement to the lyrics :)

very punny 😆.
yeah taking out rough would tighten it up a bit. but it would lessen the danger i think.
thanks for the feedback

Holly smoke, that must be around 46-48 inches. How much does that monster weigh? That is awesome! I'm an avid fisherman, myself. Been retired going on 5 years, now. I fish ALMOST every day. largemouth Bass is my specialty. But I catch a lot of Strippers and White bass. Hybrids, as well! Crappie and catfishing is really good, too!
Cheers!!

52 inches, but I measured it in the water so it could have been a little bigger if i did it the proper way. 40-45lbs is my estimate. i have gotten 50 inchers before, this one was in a different class, extra 2-3 inches makes a big difference.
i go out a few times a week in the summer in the Minneapolis area here for Largemouth and crappie. i did get a couple small muskie too last year. city lakes are always so crowded makes it difficult sometimes.

Wow this song is a lot of fun! Chorus is great and very catchy.
My only concern is that with the tempo as is some of the lines in the verses might be a bit of a wordy mouthful for a human singer who still needs to breath, whereas a Suno singer can make it work because no breath necessary! So depends what your ultimate goals are.
