My first reaction to this is that it's too wordy. It's just too quick to follow without the lyric in front of you.
I think something more like:
Life's a turn on the Ferris Wheel
We climb in laughing like fools who feel...
will be easier for people to follow. I know that isn't the message you've currently got though.
Lots of visuals in there, and that's always a strength.
Rust in the gears and sparks in the dark
that's a particularly good line.
Worth pursuing.
