Yup it works . The simpler times angle . Now kids don't play outside, cuz moms are afraid of crazy people . And all the kings horses and all the corrupt men will never MAGA. We traded in kids playing on a dirt with sticks and bottles for Daniel Boones and M16's , That have a IQ of about 3 . The NRA should be in a mental hospital in room 3 right next door to room 2 for Trump . Their slogan should be stupid is what stupid does . The White House is white cuz it stands for white wash

One suggestion: In the pre-chorus, "Running free in dirt and denim" works perfectly. My thought was that at the end of the actual chorus, "Running WILD and free in dirt and denim" would have said more, and flowed better.
There are some contextual contradictions. In one place, "no one told me what to do" (or words to that effect) but in another place, Mom uses a wooden spoon on him if he get's out of hand. Clearly someone is telling him what to do.
I would suggest shortening the song by one verse and maybe one chorus. That's just an opinion.

I remember them ramps we thought we were Evel Knievel... I can remember when I was a kid drinking out of the hose, I had a Uncle said that they needed to bottle that water and we all laughed at him, who the hell is gonna buy bottled water😎

thanks for the feedback..something think about. I don't remember what i did one time but i made my mom real mad, she hit me so hard the spoon broke I started laughing cuz i thought it was hilarious. That made her even more mad, she got a bigger spoon and ran and locked myself in the bathroom until she calmed down.

the first ramp i built i used 2 cinder blocks and a skinny piece of chipboard set up at a 45 degree angle, i rode as fast as i could the board broke i closed my eyes and could feel my self flying through the air. when i opened my eyes my mom and dad were kneeling over top of me freaking out.
yeah now days everyone brings water everywhere, my self included. That hose water was warm in the summer time. when i was out side thirsty and not near a hose, sometimes i would kneel down and drink right out a puddle like a dog. ha.

Ah this is really nice. Dirt and Denim is a great way to summarize a happy childhood. And it makes a terrific hook, very memorable.
The upbeat energy of the music is a great fit to the theme.
I love how "Dirt and Denim" comes out in the pre-chorus. And the "Running free" phrase in the chorus. They both hit hard.
Hope you can get this out to a wider audience, I think they would enjoy it.

I once watched my mother deliver a spanking to my little brother, who looked at her and said, "That didn't hurt." So she gave him one that removed all doubt about whether it was going to hurt or not.
