That day

Hmmm I've been sick many times. One of those times, I was hospitalized for many months, during which I went through many different emotions, starting with depression when I saw that I wasn't getting better and that I couldn't leave...
Little by little I got into the rhythm of what a hospital is like and finally, I grabbed onto life.
I went out into the hallway hoping to hear the trolley bringing breakfast, lunch, a snack, or dinner; it was my way of making the hours pass more quickly... And finally, the day came when they removed my IV... and I was able to walk out the front door without having to drag any equipment or cables...
This song is a memory of that day, splendid, full of sunshine, bustling life, smells foreign to those of a hospital—in short, it was something great...

That day when I left there
you don't know what I mean
but I do
the sun on my face
sun sun sun
the air in my hair
sun sun sun
crossed comings and goings
of people engaged in following the rhythm
of each hour
under a blue sky without walls to enclose it
Everything was life
and I breathed it
open mouth
to swallow it
That day
when I left there
you don't know what I'm talking about
but I do
Smells foreign to alcohol
intoxicating perfume in my nose
the sun on my face
sun sun sun
the air in my hair
sun sun sun

@MoraAmaroLaLoba - highly relatable song on both sides, those that have been through, and those left to watch. it's not a pleasant experience from any side. Glad you were able to pull through and fly free. love the guitar works. again, they fit the mood of the lyrics and the beat, which is really makes the song. 😍

@MoraAmaroLaLoba - Stories of simple life experiences are the best to write since they leave an indelible impression on all our senses. Your sad exposure to such a traumatic episode was such an example. Glad you got through it, and equally glad you found the time and inclination to share those moments with us.
Lovely song Mora, well done.

Unfortunately as we age , Were probably going to face a surgery or 2 , You basically start falling apart
Sounds good Mora

This happened many years ago, although I've been in hospitals many times since then, and I've had seven surgeries. I'm already an expert!
But yes, what I say in the song is true. That's how I experienced that day, and that's how I've told it.
I also really like the aura Marcus's guitars give off. Do I think it's a joy of life? I'm sure it is! Thanks for commenting. Have a great weekend. @bhengen

I hear hope in the music. It feels like the start of something positive, so that's a great match to your story and lyric.
I'm so sorry to hear of your health issues, and I admire your strength!
You've managed to turn something dark into something light,.

Bad experiences are a mixed blessing. I used to think that surviving would make me a better person, but that's not the case... it has made me tougher in certain ways, but at least in my case, it gave life to fears I live with every day.
The truth is, I died in one of those operations. I know what it's like to see the light, what it feels like inside it, its warmth, the peace... and then, here I am, without peace, hahaha
Thank you for your kind words @sidshovel

Unfortunately, in this case, it wasn't due to a problem related to age... I was very young... bad practice led me to this nightmare... but of course, age brings us fruit that no longer has vitamins, hahaha
Thanks for commenting. Stay healthy. @ElvisNash

Hola @RainyDayMan
Thank you for your kind words. I'm very grateful for my childish nature, as it pulls me out of the darkness I like to hide in, even though it obviously makes me do stupid things, haha.
Have a nice weekend.
