Concrete Flower

Lyrics: TammyB
composed: Suno (BFFs) Aka my robots, Roberta and Robert. It took over 130 takes so they are worn out. :-)
Youbtube: Concrete Flower
[Verse 1]
Could have easily given up or quit
When life hits with a ton of bricks.
Seemed as though the storm
Would be around forever.
A temporary setback
was the greatest comeback.
[Verse 2]
A bounce back from a tennis racket
A new Monday
A new week, for the weak
To get it right.
Doing it all over again
Became a challenge
Built character
instilled vulnerability
realizing
This is life, a reality.
[Chorus]
Sink or Swim
No boat
Is the norm and to never depend on anyone
Or Anything.
Only two options
Resilience and empower
Made me stronger.
Instead of a rose, flourished a concrete flower
That grew and refused to fold (a concrete flower).
[solo]
[Verse 3]
This is no woe is me
It’s trials of tribulations
That created
The new me
A newbie
An understanding of what “Mama used to say”
[Chorus]
Sink or Swim
No boat
Is the norm and to never depend on anyone
Or Anything.
Only two options
Resilience and empower
Made me stronger.
Instead of a rose, flourished a concrete flower
That grew and refused to fold (a concrete flower).
[Outro]
Only Two options
Resilience and empower
Made me stronger
A concrete flower
That grew and refused to fold (a concrete flower).

This is really good.
"Concrete flower" is a lovely image, sprouting out of the of the most difficult ground.
Some lovely lines in there like:
A temporary setback
was the greatest comeback.
And I like how you're flexible enough to rhyme some couplets without getting tied down. Letting others not rhyme where it makes it smoother.
Suno has done a great job with it. I notice you said it took 150 takes. Are you getting a basic song first then redoing specific sections of it, or just redoing the whole thing 150 times?
Lovely work.

pretty song.. you can put some headphones on and just chill.. do you ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, or MS Copilot to generate the prompts?

130 takes ? Well that must have spent 10 bucks on that

LMBO. Yes, they did! haha. Thank you, Elvis

Thank you for listening and I appreciate your feedback. Yes, majority of my songs take over 100 takes because I'm so picky and I redo the entire song. :-)

Yes, I have a lot of credits, and I don't have the free version.
I have the $96/year. I think it gives me 2500 credits per month but sometimes I have to buy extra credits.
Roberta and Robert doesn't want to listen at times. :-)

its a good site for people who don't sing or play guitar , Thats why its making millions , it tapped it into a vast pool of people . With the onset of Suno , it forced me out of the music business

I usually have an idea for what sounds I want, then write based on that. then see how it sounds in Suno. the last couple of times tho it's been off

@ElvisNash -Agreed. I can sing but not professionally; I know my strengths and weaknesses. Writing is my passion so it's a game-changer for me. Besides, we don't have to wait on anyone to say "yay or nay" to our songs. Suno has given power to the people. There are a lot of good songwriters on SUNO.

Oh, I see. I will put in an artist name, and it totally ignores it. I asked for an emergency siren, and it ignored it. So, I gave up.

You have to be
You have to be careful with artist name, sometimes it will flag it and not generate the music, other times, it ignores it. Inside the lyrics do you put where you want the siren - [Siren], and then put that in the prompt? Suno also has a discord channel you might want to check out.

Okay. Thank you for letting me know about the artist. As for the sirens, I wanted it at the beginning of my song, "My 5-1-1" To make it sound like an emergency. I prompted something like this at the beginning of verse 1 [emergency sirens]. It ignored it.
I need to join the discord channel.
Thank you for this information. I really appreciate it!

You can't put a artist name in there , that's why Suno is being sued over that

I really like the lyric. Great words of resilience and resolve.
Reminded me a bit of Tupoc.
Good stuff!

@TammyB Seems I'm late to the party. Great hook/title, Tammy! The music is a match made in Heaven! A smart & strong woman song for certain!
You hit a home-run with this one! (tryin' to be you, Lol!)

Thank you, Elvis- I won't use the artist's name.
Hi @IronKnee - Thank you for listening and much appreciation. You are correct about Tupac; he often talks about the rose that grew from the concrete. :-)
@HummerWisdom - No worries. Thank you so much and I appreciate you listening, and your kind words.
Everyone's feedback means so much to me.
