The Runaround Rag (A piano instrumental)

People who know me here and elsewhere may not know it, but I love ragtime. Yes, not a very common style on forums like these, but a genre I have been in enthralled with for years and wanted to try my hand at composing in. Unfortunately, my piano skills aren’t the best, so for this piece, I composed using MuseScore, which for those who don’t know, is a site where you can create your own sheet music and generate audio playback from it. Creating this piece took a very, very long time, literally months, as I had the first section sitting around for ages before I recently got the inspiration to finish it.
With that long intro and explanation out of the way, this is the Runaround Rag:

One of the first records I ever heard was "The Entertainer" by Scott Joplin, loved it then and still do. How welcome to hear some Ragtime on the forum, liked it very much, well done.

Hey Sid, thanks for the comment! Yeah, I figured we could use a little ragtime around here 😎 Aside from Scott Joplin and his incredible library of hits, another of my favorites and a huge inspiration on my writing is Top Liner Rag by Joseph Lamb.0

Yes, I too remember Scott Joplin - The Entertainer. I know nothing about the genre, but this is great. I love to hear a piano...anything from this to Rachmaninov!! Great stuff.😀
