Get Better
Just to say that Pridefall (referenced in this song) is another song from the same album - about couples who fall into toxic/unhealthy relationships.

I love you
Get better
I love you
Get better
I love you
Get better
I love you
Get better
You would sing to me over the hills
Your voice as strong as your will
We would talk, a promise of a walk
But now you’re imprisoned by the pills
Our love may be a silent one
Our hearts trapped in our chests
But know I’d give my life for you
As truest love attests
I love you
Get better
I love you
Get better
I love you
Get better
I love you
Get better
You know I feel the life you’ve lost
Even though our stars are crossed
I hold out hope it don’t end there
You know I sleep with you at night
Though I’ve never held you tight
To never dream would seem unfair
I’ve never known a thing so true
As what I feel inside
I know I’ve found my match in you
I do not wish to hide
All this love
All this love
Yet you grow weaker
You turn off your speaker
Your world closes in on your head
And I try to be careful
Not slip up on Pridefall
I mind every word that is said
I feel
All this love
All this love
I love you
Get better
I love you
Get better
I love you
Get better
I love you
I only want to see your face
But I’m back at my starting place
How can I take it anymore?
Well I can answer that
And it’s a simple fact
I love you to my very core/
You would sing to me over the hills
Your voice as strong as your will
We would talk, a promise of a walk
But now you’re imprisoned by the pills
Our days lay before our two souls
No choice is made but ours
The pain you feel I cannot heal
I do not have such powers
But I have strength
That gods would crave
I use it every day
I’ll do whatever you need, love
It’s your life I wish to save/
I care
I will be there
You’re not alone
My darling, love
I love you
Get better
I love you
Get better
I love you
Get better
I love you
Get better

A cool, upbeat track, Lee! Your vibrato vocals are somewhat reminiscent of Robin Gibb in the late 60s -- "Lamplight" from the Bee Gees' Odessa album in 1969 comes to mind. Your lyrics are upbeat and hopeful. Solid vocals! Crystal clear mix and production. I also enjoyed the extended instrumental middle/outro and the interesting sounds there, before you returned with vocals to close it out. Great stuff! I enjoyed listening! 😀
Cheers,
Joseph

Thanks for posting,
I am not a musician and my music tastes are traditional and deeply rooted in the 60-80s.
I liked the individual components of the song but collectively, it didn't work for me.
Unlike Joseph, I found the instrumental section too long and diverting.
As I said, I am a traditionalist rooted in more conservative genres so take my comments in that perspective.

Nice vibe to this overall. The opening guitar is good, but it feels better when the bass kicks in to fill out the lower register. For that reason I'd be tempted to bring the bass and drums in earlier.
Not sure what you were trying for with the two separate instrumentals. One for variation makes sense.
Like what you are doing with the supporting vocals.
Overall, got a good feel to it, but perhaps could be tighter.

Haven't heard from you in a while. Glad to see you here again. This is an interesting track with a lot of different components. As always you are fearless with your arrangements which is great. This must have taken some work to create. The instrumental parts are a bit drawn out for my tastes, but that's just me. A great song.😀

Your recordings are great. Love the mix and the entire production.
Your voice has a G. Harrison sound mixed in with the Moody Blues.
Love it!!
