No One I’d Rather Be Toasting Than You

Here’s a fun little pub / bar song I’ve been working on in 6/8 time. It’s in G Major and the vocals are mostly in tenor range. Mostly use the 4 finger G Major guitar chord (noted as [G*] below) for easy switching between G / Cadd9 / D / Dsus4. If it’s noted as [G] that’s the standard 3 finger G.
I hope to have a scratch recording soon.
Hope you enjoy it!

I think it's good of you to go to the trouble of putting in the chords, but honestly it doesn't help, it just makes it hard to read the lyric. I can't tell how it sounds without either a recording or some musical score of the melody - so many songs use similar chords that they just don't convey much by themselves. Where they help is after you have heard the song and you are trying to work out how to play it.
That out the way, the lyric looks like something fun to sing along to, which is what you indicated in the preface. Easy to imagine this going down well in a pub or similar.

Thanks @RainyDayMan I was worried that might be the case. I just threw together a video recording on Youtube, but I haven't practiced it much (I've been playing guitar less than 10 months now).
Here are the lyrics again on their own for ease of reading:
"NO ONE I'D RATHER BE TOASTIN' THAN YOU"
VERSE 1:
The evening has come and gone.
The crowds have dwindled. The hour is long.
But before you depart, I have one request,
that you share a drink with me, my friends.
CHORUS:
Oh, drink with me, drink with me, all of my friends.
The morning will be here too soon.
It’s just one more round, or maybe a few,
but there’s no one I’d rather be toastin’ than you.
POST-CHORUS:
Oh, Li, Di, Li-Di, Li, Di, Di, Li, Di, Di, Di…
Li-Di, Li, Di, Di, Li, Di, Di, Li, Di, Di, Di…
VERSE 2:
Well, the world might feel more and more doomed,
but with such fine companions, there’s a light through the gloom,
so raise your drinks, to the stars up above,
wishing many more nights filled with friendship and love!
CHORUS:
Oh, drink with me, drink with me, all of my friends.
The morning will be here too soon.
It’s just one more round, or maybe a few,
but there’s no one I’d rather be toastin’ than you.
OUTRO:
Oh, Li, Di, Li, Li, Di, Di, Li, Di, Di, Di...
...there’s no one I’d rather be toastin’ than you.

Thanks! The recording really helps. That chorus is just as much fun as I thought it would be!
I particularly like this line: It’s just one more round, or maybe a few,

Yeah, a cool bar room sing along. I reckon this would down really well in the right setting. It has an almost Irish feel to my ears. I can imagine some banjo or ukelele picking as accompaniment. Fun song.😀

Excellent, well done really enjoyed that!
Hope you have some more to share.

Thanks @RainyDayMan / @ChrisPrice / @sidshovel for giving it a listen. Based on my guitar teacher's recommendations, I'll probably end up keying this one down to E Major (from G Major) at the end of the day once I get better at playing in E, in order to make it a bit easier on myself and for others to sing along to, because I really would like this one to be bar room style / singalong piece for playing at the end of a show (once I am a capable of playing a show).
