Solitude
Verse
Sometimes a little solitude’s
Precisely what you need;
A quiet little getaway
Beneath some shady trees;
A place where no one bothers you;
A space to call your own;
A sanctuary for your mind;
a place to feel at home.
Chorus
Crowds of people everywhere;
No place or space to breathe;
The four walls that surround me
are closing in on me.
Closing in, closing in,
closing in on me.
The four walls that surround me
are closing in on me.
Verse
Sometimes alones not loneliness,
It just means peace of mind.
When you’re all wound up from working
It helps you to unwind.
The rustling of the autumn leaves;
the tune a songbird sings
can take a man to paradise
and give him eagle’s wings.
Chorus
Crowds of people everywhere;
No place or space to breathe;
The four walls that surround me
are closing in on me.
Closing in, closing in,
closing in on me.
The four walls that surround me
are closing in on me.
Verse
Sometimes silence is the music
That soothes the savage beast.
It’s the poetry of nature;
the sunrise in the east.
It’s a time for retrospection;
a time to feel alive.
Without a little peace of mind
a man cannot survive.

The verses and the chorus give me quite different vibes - but I'm quite prepared to believe that's just me on this one.
For the chorus it feels dark, with a grungy rock sort of feel, but the verses are almost bucolic with a country/folk feel
But since all of that is inside my head, I'm not sure I'm adding much value!!

RDM is right, there is a definite distinction, I feel a link is needed to show the transition from chorus to verse.
Some realy good lines though,

Hy Carroll,
I remember that in 2020, I composed a melody for this lyric.
You can listen to it by clicking this link:
