Things I've never been
Prejudice is judging someone in terms of what they can't do, rather than what they can do!
Inspired by preparations for 2024 Paralympics in Paris, PSG: Paris football/soccer team.
[intro]
[verse 1]
I always wanted to be a pilot,
and soar high up in the sky.
The man on the ground said no,
if you only have one eye.
[verse 2]
I wanted to play for PSG,
but no point in trying to beg.
No place in the team for a striker,
if he's only got one leg.
[chorus]
I've felt so very angry,
at the visions I haven't seen.
I don't wanna go on wishin' for,
the things I've never been.
[verse 3]
I wanted to be a joiner,
the boss he had some qualms.
Said you can't use a plane,
when you only have one arm.
[chorus]
I've felt so very angry,
at the visions I haven't seen.
I don't wanna go on wishin' for,
the things I've never been.
[bridge]
Instead of tellin' us, what we cannot do,
or be limited by, what it is you've seen.
Give us a chance, to stop wishin' for,
the things we've never been.
[chorus]
I've felt so very angry,
at the visions I haven't seen.
I don't wanna go on wishin' for,
the things I've never been.

AI did a pretty good job on this one! It's got a very upfront and personal feel to it, with a nice lift in the chorus.
I feel like "Things I'll never be" is a more natural phrase, but probably the opposite meaning to what you want!
It would be interesting to talk to someone with a disability and hear whether the song hits the mark in terms of mood and attitude.
I like the feel of it.

The line actually came from a contestant in the Paralympics who talked about many, who like him, were born with the disability and so didnt dwell on what they missed out on, or the things they've never been. The phrase stuck.
Very humbling when you think about it,
Sid

You did a good job , But v2 continues the laundry list , You might consider taking that on a new angle and still make your chorus work .0

laundry list is saying the same thing in v2 , Be tricky with new angle in v2 and still pay off chorus
