The Wild In Me

This is "The Wild In Me," track 13 of my new album, "Dark, Beautiful World."

The Wild In Me
Verse 1 (80's Arena Rock mixed with Country Pop; Acoustic, electric and slide guitars mixed with live drums and fiddles)
I’ve spent so much time carin’ about what people think
But you came in with your free spirit to pull me out of the brink

Pre-Chorus:
I’m so tired of
bein’ so shy
I wanna try
somethin’ new

Chorus:
I love when you make me dance to your favorite song
Doesn't matter if it’s Garth Brooks or Bon Jovi
I love that you showed me how to live my life
I love how you bring out
The wild in me
The wild in me

Verse 2:
You got everyone lookin’ at the way you spin around
You look at me and say, “Come on, boy. What have you got to lose?”
And you’re right; I don’t wanna feel so down

Pre-Chorus:

Chorus:

Bridge:
The wild in me
Girl, don’t you know set me free
Now I never wanna go back
No, never go back

(Fast guitar solo with electric, telecaster and blues guitars overdubbed on top of each other)

Pre-Chorus:

Chorus (x2):

(Fast guitar solo with electric, telecaster and blues guitars overdubbed on top of each other)

(fade to quieter guitars and acoustic instruments mixed with drums, handclaps, acoustic guitars, and mandolins; end with a drum/cymbal crash)

  • I like this one JT. Got a good vibe and a lot of energy to it.

My favorite part is probably the pre-chorus.

I think you'll need to even up the number of lines across verses 1 & 2 but that should be a quick fix.

    Good stuff.

  • Nice work, JT24! The chorus is definitely my favorite part. Interesting mention of Garth Brooks and Bon Jovi. 😀

I notice this is track 13 from your new album. Any bonus tracks? If so, share those too! 😀

    Cheers,
