Smooth Sailing
This is "Smooth Sailing," Track on my new album "Dark Beautiful World."
2. Smooth Sailing
Verse 1 (mid tempo 80s Pop-Rock drum machines and guitars)
I said, "Baby, let's go out on the water
We're make this the best summer ever"
My heart races whenever I'm near her
The sun is shining down and when I turn
I see the waves crashing, but all I care about
Is the angel that I've got in my arms, yeah
Chorus:
We're smooth sailing, out in the open air
We're smooth sailing, and we just don’t care
Let the storm rage, Bring on the rain
We’re smooth sailing, and I can’t complain
(Add fiddle and natural drums)
Verse 2:
Our love flows as easy as the ocean
We let the coast take us wherever we’re going
We’re Sippin’ on somethin,’ mine is somethin' strong, hers is somethin' sweet
Nothin’ else matters when she’s next to me
Her smile lights up her face
Every time, and it gives me grace, yeah
Chorus:
(Mid-tempo slide guitar solo; add hand claps and acoustic guitars)
Bridge:
We're smooth sailing (x3)
Chorus:
Outro:
Sometimes it seems all this world does is crush my soul
But she’s always there to remind me I’m not alone
When we’re out on the water and looking at the stars in the sky
We forget about the real world, ‘cuz we’re livin’ in paradise
Paradise…
(Acoustic and electric guitars, hand claps, fiddles and Celtic-like instruments stacked/overdubbed on top of each other, until music fades)

The lyric has a laid-back feel to it. I like how "smooth sailing" applies to both their relationship and them actually on the water.
Just a couple of things I'll point to:
"and I can’t complain", that feels a weaker line to end the chorus, and the final line should ideally be the strongest.
Line 3 in verse 2 is a long one with 16 syllables, compare to 10 syllables for the same line v1. That's a lot of extra syllables to squeeze into the same spot. I'd keep an eye on that when setting it to music, as it may cause you problems.
