I like what you've got.

What's not there at the moment is how she was misunderstood. In what way was she good but deemed bad? You might be deliberately leaving that out for people to interpret as they will, but maybe it would hit harder if we could agree that she was a good person.

I'd need to wait and hear the chorus to see if that works with the 4 x repeats.
