I get the point you are trying to make, but no train wreck is funny, I think that's a bad analogy. Your chorus would be stronger and make more of an impact without the first and last lines.

Verse 2 is very good.
I like how you changed the chorus up right at the end to being on the train. now he's in the mess instead of laughing from the sidelines.
