You can't fix me
Words Me; music Suno.
inspired by elvis ;)
His idea was you can fix everything, I changed it a bit :)

[Refrain]
She said, I can fix everythin, But you cain't fix me
[Verse 1]
My memories only go back to the age of seven, I think,
not sure. before that, it's a blur. I think my momma
might have set me in front of the tv for the moon landin,
Not sure if that is real, or I made it up. Since my
family is long gone, nobody really around to confirm.
I'm tired, where was I? Oh yes, when it started, not
sure. My memories are fragmented, Although I do vaguely
remember my sister gettin hit with a swing in the face,
killed her tooth, that was '68, 'til she died,
she never got it fixed. I know there is stuff before,
I just don't want to go there. Then my therapist said
[Refrain][Echo Effect]
She said, I can fix everythin, But you cain't fix me
Oh no, You cain't fix me, nope
[Verse 2]
She, asked me what he was like, My father, he was a demon. By age of
nine, I developed my pattern matching skill, I could not only
pick out his truck from the others, I could tell by his mood
by how he parked in the driveway, the way he opened the front
door, whether he went to the bedroom first or kitchen. I always
had my window open, bike by the house, gate unlatched to
bolt if I needed to. My childhood was chaos, eggshells, cheap
beer and cigarettes. I have static in my head, so much static,
Noise. I need to stop. make it stop. Your not broken she says.
[Refrain]
She said, I can fix everythin, But you cain't fix me
[Verse 3]
Again she asked when it first happened, when did what happen? Oh that, dunno.
I told her about the box in my mind that's locked. never to be opened.
That's in that box. Don't wanna go there, it's dark. Can't deal.
I know when it ended, I was seventeen, he was in my face about somethin,
Had me pinned, again, this time, I was able to catch him off guard,
as he spun around, he was off balance, I slammed into him, his foot
caught a chair and went down in a lump, taking a few chairs with him.
I stood over him, didn't say a word, just stared. then walked away.
This is still workable, she says,
[Refrain][Echo Effect]
She said, I can fix everything, But you cain't fix me
[Verse 4]
What's in the box can't be that bad is a theory you don't want to
test, She convinced me that it was best, I closed my eyes,
and recounted everythin that happened up until the age of seven,
Didn't hold back. She stopped writin, because the pen dropped to the
floor, she didn't bother to pick it up. She reached for the tissue,
but it wasn't for me. I felt anger, so much anger, every word spewed out
like a gushin volcano, I couldn't stop, it just flowed. I was tired, numb and
my brain stopped processin. At that moment, I existed out of time.
She asked, if I was ok, fuck, define ok. not really, but what can you do.. here we are.
Last thing I remember when I left her office that day, she gave me a hug
[Outro]
And said, sorry, I can fix everythin, But I can't fix you
No, oh no, I can't fix you.

Something light to listen to! Wow. Intense
I think the looser structure is working really well here. It's a stream of consciousness, gushing forth. It's all coherent, but it feels almost random.
The message comes through clearly: some things are broken beyond repair. Though I hope the message is wrong.
I wonder if people with their own dark experiences would resonate with this, and in some way feel validated? I don't know.
It's a powerful write. I won't say I enjoyed it, but it made me feel.

Thanks for the comment, Owen, I truly appreciate it. Making you feel something is the ultimate compliment. the outro pretty much sums it up :)..
