HOME

Keep in mind this is very early and rough and I’m NOT a singer ! Thanks for listening
HOME
It was early in the morning It sure was blowing
A bird was fighting the wind
I was thinking about where I might make my next home
Got a message from a girl down in Cartegena
She said it sure was nice to meet you
And she was growing tired of being alone
It was winter down there but you sure couldn’t feel it
The beaches were steaming down in Barranquilla
I was still looking for a place I might call home
Chorus
When you’re out there cruising at the mercy of the wind
You fears break down and something kicks in
Something so deep something so strong
Keeps me moving along
If you’re lost in the sea
Or locked in a cell
Or any old other version of Hell
There’s a key to your freedom
Way down deep in your soul
If you claw and you scratch and you dig you will find it
It’s never been at the top of your mind it
Lies deep down inside of every boy and girl
[chorus]
When you finally see land or they open that door
You start to wonder what you’re struggling for
And you begin to consider why you want to leave home
The woman or man who you sought to find
Or that Hollywood house in the back of your mind
The perpetual yearning and burning is finally gone
There’s a pot on the stove we serve it with bread and it’s
Lying around with your tv in bed
And the things you have learned to accept and learned to atone
[chorus]

Nice! Got a vibe going there.
My only suggestion is to consider ending the chorus on "home" to link that back to your title and hammer it home.
