This line leaves the listener hanging - So you better stand clear of , of what, you could drop the of.
in this line - So hang me dwn with your finest rope - wouldn't strongest rope make more sense, also you could drop the down, since you have that covered in hang. hang me down is redundant. plus it will make it pop better.
also - Break my heart and leave me with hope - wouldn't without hope send better or drop the 'and' just say no hope?
The melody is good.
Overall, not a bad song.

I agree on the rope line - I played with that and may fix it - I had "longest rope"/"strongest dope" but finest may work as well

hope implies a positive, no hope is a negative. she didn't leave you with a positive she' left you hung and doped up that's a negative., unless you're into that kind of thing 😉😂
