Original song: Magical fields now crazy fields

This is an original song written and recorded some years ago. These are the true feelings of an extraordinary place I visited. The main versus are written in a classical music form. The guitar solo from 0:52 to 1:13 is, I must say, one of the best I have ever done and dare I say really cool! What do you think?

Lyrics:

I was drivin' up

I looked to the left

I looked to the right

I saw a beautiful fields

Yea

Magical in the light

Did I climb the mountain?

Is this my promised land?

These are my magical fields

Yea

Now they are my crazy fields

I do believe

I found my place

Did you find yours?

Or outer space?

These are my magical fields

Yea

Do you know how I feel?

Yea

I think I climbed the mountain

I think I found the promised land

These are my magical fields

Yea

Do you know how I feel?

Yea

Now they are my crazy fields

Yea

Crazy fields

I

@robwills. t's not a bad song, very melodic.. sounds like 60' garage band. Just because you can play the notes, doesn't mean you should. I can't remember who said it, but quality before quantity. in my opinion the lead needs to slower and more melodic to fit the melody. listen to how jeff beck, or david gilmour phrases their leads. every note has a meaning.

  • I hear you. I think I just wanted to do something different, and it is. The solo has a good overall balanced form and does have some melody at the beginning and end. The middle is awesome, at least to me.

  • @robwills - the middle, to me, is where you went off the rails.. sounds like you had a redbull :) overall, it's one of your better songs.

  • I am almost sure I had two cups of Irish breakfast tea while recording it:)). It was supposed to be "crazy" sounding.

  • @robwills - then you had success :)
