[verse 1]

Got, a snowballs chance in hell,

of getting back with me.

Every bridge, goin' across,

at the bottom of the valley.

[verse 2]

Used me, took me for a ride,

booty call, at the best of times.

Just somethin' on the side,

self-respect, not worth a dime.

[chorus]

a snowballs chance in hell,

a snowballs chance in hell,

got till, hell freezes over,

not a snowballs chance.

[verse 3]

I know, what you're after,

can't stop me, wantin' more.

hear, that bell it's ringin,

wishin', you're at the door.

[chorus]

a snowballs chance in hell,

a snowballs chance in hell,

got till, hell freezes over,

not a snowballs chance.

[verse 4]

It's late, I'm cursin' you,

my kids asleep in bed,

Fearin' you won't call me.

this devil's, in my head.

[chorus]

a snowballs chance in hell,

a snowballs chance in hell,

got till, hell freezes over,

not a snowballs chance.

[bridge]

Keep sayin', not this time,

ain't gonna, be used again.

Leave you standin', there,

lovin', ain't worth this pain.

[final chorus]

a snowballs chance in hell,

a snowballs chance in hell,

got till, hell freezes over,

not a snowballs chance.

[outro]

The door, I hear bangin'.

he's drunk I can tell.

calls me, on my cellphone,

not a snowballs chance in hell.

Thanks guys, like a lot of my stories this one is based on fact and observation.

This guy drank in the same bar as me and my friends, we knew each other casually.

He had Tom Cruise looks and was a womaniser. He also drank like a fish, but his pay packet couldn't keep up with him'

To supplement his income, he had a number of women on the go, who he'd visit whenever he ran out of money, 30 minutes later he'd be back in the bar with enough to see him through till closin' time.

Can't remember his name but if I close my eyes, I can still see his face after 50 years!

    Sid

  • Really captures that feeling of being tempted by something you know is only going to do your harm.

  • Pretty much live in that state of being!

    Thanks RDM
