Howdy! Stones of Circumstance
Hillbilly gospel, I suppose. Short and to the point, my preferred style. Simple guitar/vocal video.

Stones of Circumstance
Buc McMaster
I stumble on through the dust of disappointment
the winds of worry tuggin’ at my clothes
The road is long……and I am weary
Perdition’s fires rise to meet me ‘ere I go
When I was young I did not heed the lessons
along the road ‘twixt the darkness and the light
Could it be that I’ve squandered my redemption
A trail of tears marks the path of a wasted life
(or I carry on the best I can to see the right…)
Carry me
To the other shore, Lord
Lift my soul from stones of circumstance
Suffer me
To bear no more, Lord
Take my hand and teach my feet another dance
Touch my eyes that I might see another chance
Take my hand and teach my feet another dance

Nice! I like the more poetic elements like "dust of disappointment" and "winds of worry". You play well and it suits the song.
Good stuff.

Excellent. A well worn path musically, but this is done to perfection. Great lyrics and strong vocal. Love it😀

Thank you, sir. Many, many years ago my youngest brother wrote a personal blog that didn't last long but one of his posts contained the phrase "stones of circumstance"...........there's a song in there, said I. It is indeed a well worn musical path but such is the nature of Americana-style composition, simple I-IV-V progressions. I strive for a unique lyric with such pieces.
