Words no heart wants to hear
[verse]
I suspect that he might be cheating.
He ignores me when I undress.
I asked if he wanted to make love.
He acted like he could care less.
[pre chorus]
I tell myself he wouldn’t cheat
but my heart sees all the signs;
claiming he’s at work when he’s not.
brings only the worst to mind.
[chorus]
One day he’ll say I don’t love you.
Four words no heart wants to hear.
I don’t love you, I don’t love you.
Four words no heart wants to hear.
[Instrumental break]
[verse]
He doesn’t kiss me in the mornings
Doesn’t notice my new perfume.
Dinners cold, by the time he gets home.
I no longer know what to do.
[pre chorus]
I tell myself he’s just busy;
but who is he busy with?
Is she younger, is she slimmer?
Have they shared more than a kiss?
[chorus]
One day he’ll say I don’t love you.
Four words no heart wants to hear.
I don’t love you, I don’t love you.
Four words no heart wants to hear.
[bridge]
I watch what I eat and I’m working out.
But I can’t roll back the years.
I fear that he’s going to say those four words
and I’ll break down in tears.

Bang on form Carroll, you have an amazing ability to take the mundane and everyday happenings and write so vividly.
That's the strength of your songs, that people can relate to so easily.
Echo Bill's comment, put it to music.
Another good one,
Thank you,
Sid

It's a good lyric, but I think you're missing a chance to give it a bigger emotional punch. The way it's written, it's as if she's explaining the situation to a listener, which is a bit dry. How about you let us follow her inner doubts or turmoil.
[verse]
I'm scared he might be cheating.
He ignores me when I undress.
I long for him to touch me
He acts like he couldn't care less.
[pre chorus]
He wouldn't cheat, would he?
but my heart knows better
He's working late but I know he's not.
Wonder where he met her
[chorus]
One day he’ll say I don’t love you.
Four words no heart wants to hear.
I don’t love you, I don’t love you.
Four words no heart wants to hear.

What am I to do?
[pre chorus]
I try telling myself he’s just busy;
but who is he busy with?
Is she younger, prettier, wittier?
Have they shared more than a kiss?
[chorus]
One day he’ll say I don’t love you.
Four words no heart wants to hear.
I don’t love you, I don’t love you.
Four words no heart wants to hear.
