Original song - Mr. Murphy
I wrote and recorded this song years ago as part of an album titled "Ireland". It tells of an Irish condition through the life of Mr. Murphy. What do you think?

Lyrics:
Mr. Murphy
Are you all right?
Did the voices keep ya up all night?
Did they tell ya you're crazy?
Or did they read you're mind?
Mr. Murphy
We do care
We're right here
And everywhere
You can not see us
But we're comin' over the air
Mr. Murphy
It's gonna be all right
We've got your paints
The color of light
Let's see what you can do
Try to stay true
And when you mess up
We'll clean the clean up
Get it off the wall
Mr. Murphy
Are you ok?
Maybe this will be your day
Starin' out the window
Mr. Murphy
We're your friends
We'll be here until the end
Try not to lose your mind

It reads like the someone who is mentally ill to me. I don't really understand how it reflects the Irish condition.
Feels sad. I like the finger picking. The ending is a little abrupt though.
It's got a much more traditional song structure than some of your others, but that works for me.

its better than your last ones , but the recording quality is not up to pro standards
Sounds good for an amateur attempt . Looks like Mr Murphy has mental problems

Ireland has a long history of mental illness and one of the highest rates of countries in the world. This song illustrates this and is part of the album "Ireland" which goes into various aspects of Irish history and conditions, such as the war, fairies, poetry, paganism, drinking, fighting and more.

According to available data, the United States is often cited as having one of the highest rates of mental health issues. I can see why with our circus . I'd rather be in Ireland

It stopped abruptly. Was that intentional, an accident or a problem with MY gear?
Anyway, I was enjoying it while it lasted.

It's 2:33 long and ends. There was no intention to end the way it did.

@robwills Well, if Mr. Murphy lived through the so-called potato famine in Ireland, I can see how distressed he would be. And a MUCH more complete song than some of them you've posted. And a name song always works! As well as I love the name you chose if not for the alliterations alone. I've got a 'Mrs. Murphy' story I could tell...but that's for another day. Listening, this is my favorite of yours thus far, Rob. Love the softer guitar and cool lead!
