Quite, it's like a slow erosion of everything that brought you together, the spark's not there anymore.
Even little shows of emotion are strained and awkward now. Had a couple of episodes like that. Tried to capture the little casualties of a break-up rather than the big flare-ups.

Yep. Sometimes goodbye is the best thing to do. I suppose you could have called this song either "All That's Left To Say is Goodbye" or the title you chose. Nice job @sidshovel

Very nice indeed. Captured that awkwardness when you can't yet leave, but you don't want to stay.
Chorus is very strong, good story lyric, and I like the rhyming scheme in the verses too.

Love this song, Sid! I can see myself in your lyrics. This reminds me of my first serious love. Even though it didn't end the way i wanted it to, we remain close friends 50 years later.
