Run To Me, Bee Gees 1972

"Run To Me" by the Bee Gees.

Released in 12 April 1972.

If ever you got rain in your heart

Someone has hurt you, and torn you apart

Am I unwise to open up your eyes to love me

And let it be like they said it would be

Me loving you girl, and you loving me

Am I unwise to open up your eyes to love me

Run to me whenever you're lonely

(To love me)

Run to me if you need a shoulder

Now and then, you need someone older

So darling, you run to me

And when you're out in the cold

No one beside you

And no one to hold

Am I unwise to open up your eyes to love me

And when you've got nothing to lose

Nothing to pay for, nothing to choose

Am I unwise to open up your eyes to love me

Run to me whenever you're lonely

Run to me if you need a shoulder

Now and then you need someone older

So darling, you run to me

Run to me whenever you're lonely

Run to me if you need a shoulder

Now and then you need someone older

So darling, you run to me

Run to me whenever you're lonely

  • This is supremely beautiful @ReneAsologuitar .

What a beautiful sounding guitar, voice and song. You have done such a great job with this. I'm sure you are aware, but your voice is incredibly soulful. This is the best thing I've heard today and I've heard a lot. 😉

    Count me thoroughly impressed.

  • I missed this one being posted! I was just thinking it had been a while since I saw a Rene cover.

The vibe of the song works really well for your own personal style.

I'm rubbish at falsetto, so kudos to you for that!

    Another really nice listen.

  • I always love your performances and, although I'm not a great fan of this song (how could such talented writers come up with a line as clumsy and awkward as, "Am I unwise to open up your eyes to love me?"), I think you did a beautiful job with it.
