Your saying the same thing in V1 as V2 on the phone thing , I would take v2 in a new direction. perhaps bumping into a few old friends in a bar or something in v2 . You're telling instead of showing . Bobby Lee we were super close in High school . And Brenda always thought she was cool .... Thats showing . You would have to lose track of characters in the story and how you were close and then tie chorus in . That's my 2 cents with bad coffee at 5:40 am

While I didn't go with a completely 'showing', I did go very emotional in V2, also landing on a somewhat positive note; also dumped stupid Bridge and slightly changed V1. What say you, Song Maestro? 😍
And I truly appreciate you, Elvis pushing me along on this one. I believe it is a universal topic these days, tho' the hook is quite cliche but with the advent of electronic communications over the old fashion human touch, I believe it strikes a chord with the many.
