Steve, I love this, it's brilliant, the haunting music, the echoes, all work to develop a great lifelike atmosphere. There is a but however, and a hasty caveat, I'm not a musician or even close to one. To my amateur ear something is out of balance, vocals too far back? Good chance, I'm talkin through my proverbial so wait for more proper feedback.

I still love it.

I love this as a topic for a song - the longing for the polar opposite of what the outside currently provides. Your lyrics and music express it all very well. I agree with Sid that the vocals could do with moving up more in the mix. Some lines were too quiet to hear.

A subject most of us can relate to as the world at large appears to be colder than normal these days. And I'm not a fan of winter whatsoever so this song really hits home with me. Love your sound production, Steve, very nice.

The only thing I wonder, if this should be called, "Summer Solstice Kiss". Tho' you've made it clear that you're in the midst of winter so I suppose the listener knows which solstice you're speaking of. On the other hand, the Chorus would stand alone nicely if 'summer' was included. Not trying to be a downer or anything; your song, your choice.
