Our NSAI chapter had a Nashville producer talk to us about the top 10 country songs of that year. He was careful not to say the best 10 songs. That's subjective, of course. These songs were all dumbed down in terms of lyrics and mostly also in te…

@ElvisNash He's crying all the way to the bank.

I think Rob has a point. If you can find a niche and write for it, you might sell a few. It might be writing about a town and people from that town enjoy listening to it. I wrote one about a football club in Scotland. It's not a great song, but i…

The most reliable indicator that a song will be a country hit is if I hate it. I hate this, so well done, Cole 😂

I kind of feel the same about NSAI reviews. To be fair, I don't think they really knew how to approach my rather unusual songs and kept trying to analyze them using a conventional country template. I did get some useful, executable feedback on on…

You have chosen just about the most depressing subject possible! Not even the most enthusiastic of country tear jerkers venture into this territory very often, if at all. This has a Victorian sentimentality to it.
It's well done and the ly…

Not very many people buy songs these days. Some do, but mostly folks listen through streaming services.

Why on earth should there be no tax on tips? Same with overtime? It makes no sense.

Nort my fave of yours but still really good. Great hook. Very memorable. A musical version of Pascal's wager.

@ElvisNash $24.95! I wouldn't pay that to see the real Bob LOL.

@Skandha Yes, that's what I meant. "Its" can't refer to people. The other changes I made to that line were make it…

You seem to really have a knack for using AI to come up with some beautiful songs. The laid back reggae style with a female vocalist is just right for this simple but beautiful lyric.
Are you still able to make changes? If so, I would corre…

@bhengen Well, Shakespeare made up a few words, so I suppose you're in good company 😉

Very atmospheric. I like a good story :)

I agree with Owen. This has a rock opera feel to it. Either that or Meatloaf :)
There are a few grammatical mistakes in the lyric - but probably only an insufferably pedantic old geezer like me would be bothered by them LOL.

Fun sing along melody. Great hook! It seems like you were maybe in a bit of a hurry to post this and just left that problematic line in there that doesn't fit: "And kindness is rare as a two-dollar bill these days."
You could make it a lot …

Nice song. The relaxed vibe fits the lyric well. For me, the middle section maybe went too long without a chorus to break it up, even with the instrumental break.

I like the intensity. Writing from the heart is a good thing. It's a good form of therapy. If that's why you wrote this, then I applaud you.
Connecting with an audience can also be a great form of therapy. The feeling you get when you awake…

Speaking as one who is not ashamed of being fairly woke, I still found this a fun song. Nice simple, sing-along melody, good use of repetition. Also, there's a snake blowing smoke. You don't often find one of those in a song.

It's a good song and the AI does a great job. It's an inspired choice to look through the hero's eyes, rather than just deliver a polemic. On a human level, the listener can relate to what he must have been feeling.

Some good guitar work here. I especially like the echoes of Irish music in the solos. Was that a deliberate reference to "King of the Fairies" I heard?
Howdy, Stranger!
