CARRYIN' ME
[Verse 1]
Just like my earth now she's a beauty brightens up my eyes
Under my feet I walk weak and weary on the world's disguise
[Chorus]
I've been following this road too long till the path is narrow and the winds are strong
My only solace is in her song, in her song
[Verse 2]
(A-carrying me)
A-carrying me
A-carrying me on home
[Verse 3]
I was a prophet till I heard the word and I realized
A man who can't see what he's been given is rarely wise
[Chorus]
I have failed and I've been wrong
I felt the nails as I wandered among
A million lost souls waiting for a song
[Verse 4]
A-carrying me
Yeah, carrying me, oh-oh
A-carrying me on home
[Chorus]
Yeah, everywhere I turn the truth becomes beauty
Wounded in battle in the line of duty
I want to get home but I'm afraid it'll be a long
A long time before, long time before I hear
Her song
[Outro]
(Carrying me)
(Carrying me)
(Carrying me)
(Yeah)
(Been carrying me)
(Carrying me)

Love that dirty, bluesy guitar! Good song overall.
Not sure about the labelling you're using here for the various parts - not that it matters! The 'A-carrying me" part feels like the chorus to me, with the part before that being a pre-chorus. And "Yeah, everywhere I turn the truth becomes beauty" seems like a bridge.
I think my favorite line is: "Under my feet I walk weak and weary on the world's disguise" It's more poetic than the other lines, but it's the alliteration that I think makes it work so well.
Good stuff.

Hi Kojak- I don't believe I have ever seen you on the forum, but I have been gone for a few months. Happy New Year!
I enjoyed the song and it's very catchy!!! It was nostalgic to me and brought back my childhood (the great 70's)!
Your lyrics are very poetic and well written.
Overall: This is something you can do a line dance to, and I enjoyed it.
Keep up the great work!
