Verse 1

Opens with a murder scene and a warning label

Blood on the ground before the dinner table

God gets bored, flips a switch, starts over

Kills damn near everybody, saves one boat owner

Talking snake sells a lie like truth

Punishment falls on the naked and the confused

If this was fiction, it’d be banned in schools

But you hand it to kids and call it the rules

Pre-Chorus

They say it’s love, they say it’s light

Why does it read like fear every night?

Chorus

It reads like a Stephen King novel

No edits, no mercy clause

Everybody’s guilty, somebody’s chosen

Violence dressed up as God’s applause

Fire solves it, blood explains it

Faith comes stapled to the threat

Call it holy, call it wisdom

I call it leather-bound fear porn scripture set

Verse 2

Cities burn ‘cause somebody sinned

Kids get cursed for the shape they’re in

Bears tear flesh for a punchline joke

That’s canon—go ahead, look it up, folks

Plagues rain down like entertainment

Firstborn dead for dramatic placement

Every lesson ends the same damn way

Obey or suffer, kneel or decay

Pre-Chorus

Red ink, black ink, same damn sound

Power talking while bodies hit the ground

Chorus

It reads like a Stephen King novel

Wrath first, grace on delay

Angels kill with a clean conscience

Sins get passed like hereditary pain

Blood on doors, screams in the night

God’s always right ‘cause God’s got might

They call it truth, I call it threat

Scare ‘em straight into heaven, baptize regret

Bridge (spoken / half-time)

If this is love, it’s abusive

If this is truth, it’s coercive

“Believe or burn” ain’t salvation

That’s a hostage negotiation

Last Chorus (drop instruments, come back heavy)

Reads like a Stephen King novel

Only horror with a choir stamp

Every question met with thunder

Every doubt lit by a lamp

I ain’t saying throw it away

I’m saying read it without the spell

‘Cause if hell’s real, they wrote the manual

And sold it as a stairway outta hell

Outro

Amen.

Now tell me that ain’t a scary book.

Amen…

and turn the damn light back on.
