Peace on Earth Tonight
This is a collab from the old site with Curtis Campbell who was gracious enough to help with music vocals and production. There was a Christmas song writing challenge going on and I had looked into the eyes of a guy asking for money at a red light and tried to imagine Christmas from his point of view. Another friend of mine created the video linked below for me. Curtis talked me into the name change from Cardboard Christmas.

Peace on Earth Tonight
Campbell / Williams 2012
Sittin’ in the darkness,
I can hear the bells
Ringin’ for the Son of God,
the first noel,
Reminds me how he was born,
and walked without sin
As I pull my blanket close
hidin' from the wind
I want to go home to my family
I need to see my father's eyes
Let Mommas love surround me
Need to find some peace on earth tonight
Stopped by the mission
Hoped to find a bed
Kinda like when he was born
No where to lay my head
I can see their pretty lights
And I hear them sing
But tonight, my Christmas tree
Protects me from the rain
I want to go home to my family
I need to see my father's eyes
Let Mommas love surround me
Need to find some peace on earth tonight
Living through your twist of fate
Has got me on my knees
Wonderin’ Lord why ya left me here
And took them all from me
X2
Lord Take me home to my family
I long to stand in your light
Let your love surround me
Let me find some peace on earth tonight.
Help me find some peace on earth tonight

Wonderful song Barry! Love the blend of Christmas and struggle. A reminder to us all, there but for the grace of God...
