Soul's Well

Inspired by global warming...I mean climate change. The concept that your soul could have a well, well, it kinda intrigued me.
Intro
The weather in my life can get extreme
Ice ages come and go the climates always changing
love droughts settle in dry up my soul’s well
That’ when I think back remembering heavy raining
Poured down so hard and fast I had to run for cover
But that season didn’t last just like old lovers
When it feels like your heart is under water
Drink it up while you can cuz you can never tell
slowly
Might have to stagger through hell to fill your soul’s well
Man out on the desert got one thing in mind
Cool mountain streams if he can make it to the other side
Out on life’s ocean there’s a big deception
Blue water everywhere but if you drink it you could die
I’ve heard said you gotta dig deep if you want to find water that’s sweet
I’ve been on my hands and knees scratching for a sip of drink
Nothing worth having comes easy and it’s always easy to loose
Everybody’s lost something guess everybody knows that feel
Slowly
Might have stumble through hell to fill your soul’s well
Break
Dig a little deeper to find your worth
Keep watching the sky with your mind opened wide
Soon the drought will be over the rivers will swell
Quench yourself in the drops when the healing rains fall
slowly
You made it through hell and filled your soul’s well
Break outro

@StoneFlowers Love it, Stoney. Wish I could play guitar like that! And the photo you used reminds me of a mini Stonehenge; how cool is that? Is that your home? And isn't it funny how they change verbiage all the time; global warming to climate change. And I know this isn't the place, but from my research we are in global cooling. Of which, of course is a natural cycle. I could go on, but like stated not the place. brrrrrr. . . . from Nashville, TN...snow on the ground and frigid cold! 😰
Your truly,

I agree, it’s a very interesting concept, and you crafted excellent lyrics to go along with it. I think your acoustic style works particularly well for this. I loved the refrain in particular. All those energetic strums, interspersed with silence, and then we get the title drop. It’s a really nice change of pace rhythmically from the verses.0

Another good one S/F. Gets the message across well, real talent.
Always enjoy your work, vibrant and different.
Keep 'em comin'

Hey thanks all for giving a listen and your kind comments.
Renee, the stone sculpture in the pic is one of my other hobbies, stoneflowers.com. Which is where I derived my pen name from.

@StoneFlowers This is a fresh new way of looking at things, I've never thought of the ebs and flows of life from this perspective. Really cool writing, and the guitar riffs are sweet. Enjoyed it.

@StoneFlowers thank you for letting me know about your hobby/website. I'll be sure to check it out, Stoney! Very cool website! Clicked on a few of the videos. Lovely ocean view, too! And very cool craft! I'm into anything that moves outdoors in the way of wind chimes, whirligigs, and such; VERY COOL art you can call all your own, Stoney!
