Christmas eve a few years back.  I was working on a couple of originals but just couldn’t seem to get the right groove going.  I went on line to Craigslist to see if there were any musicians looking to get together and play.  And at the top of the list was a post that had nothing to do with music, and it said....

On the day before the day of peace 

The sun was hiding flakes were falling

I almost got stuck in a sad song

So I went on line to find

A player or a singer to bring in harmony 

And there at the top was a request that said

Hoping to meet that loving and caring guy

On the day before the king was born

When we celebrate peace and light from above

She posted her heart on line

Asking for the greatest gift of all

I guess she thought the timing might be

Right to find love and  harmony  she said

I thought back to a time when I was empty

Cloudy skies and flakes hid the sun

When my well had been a long time dry

But then sweet love found me in time

Not sure how to warm your heart babe

But hope you get your wish come true

I wrote this gift for you it’s all I can do

To bring you peace maybe ease your Christmas blues
