The birth of Venus
Inspired by the painting of the same name

[Intro, 4/4 time]
Gazing upon The Birth of Venus,
Lost in the beauty of technique
By a master craftsman's hand
Storytelling with his brush
[Verse 1, 5/8 time]
Suspended on the water,
In a fertile shell of pearls
Translucent is her skin,
Purity in the whiteness
The long flowing red hair,
Fiery in its passion
White skin laid bare,
Exposing vulnerability
[Bridge, 4/4 time]
Fertility, purity,
passion, vulnerability
Symbolism hidden in
The Birth of Venus,
But what do they mean?
[Verse 2, 7/8 time]
Locked in a perpetual
Battle of philosophies,
Mired in abstraction
Fueling discourse
Maybe a painting,
Is just a painting
[Verse 3, 4/4 time]
Nothing more,
Nothing more,
Things just
Are simply Nothing
[Guitar solo]
[Chorus, 4/4 time]
Fixated on the obtuse,
While ignoring the beauty
Locked in petty debates
Blinded in minor details
[Verse 4, 4/4 time]
Whether his muse was a poem
Or taken from Plato
Doesn't alter the vision
Nor distort the beauty
[Outro, 5/8 time]
Life is short, enjoy the ride

@sidshovel thanks., really appreciate it.. was a little concerned about following a cohesive train of thought. my brain tends to ramble sometimes :)

I was looking at all the proposed timing changes in the lyric. That would have been a wild ride all right! It sounds like Suno has ignored most of those.
To be honest, I found the music a little repetitive in this one, but that is a personal reaction, it's just not my style.
It's another intriguing lyric, and it seems a good match to the style of music you're using.

@RafaelaGar , that's the problem with suno, your stuck with whatever timing they pick. this was my other pick https://suno.com/song/b6822f10-a2e7-48fc-a2ea-5c21ded6f4f2 .

Colorful. The change at 3:30 makes for good contrast, which I think is important (but each to his own). At a first listen I can't really see anything wrong.0

What a lovely tribute to a lovely painting. The only part which caught me off guard is the following:
[Verse 3, 4/4 time]
"Nothing more,
Nothing more,
Things just
Are simply Nothing" .... I just can't buy that.
But other than that, a masterpiece as the painting! (had to look it up and thank you @bhengen for introducing me once again to fine art. And you have me falling in love with the intensity of goth. Truly breathtaking when combined with meaningful words! Okay, playtime over and it's off to the trench (work) I go.......ugh!
Truly,
Renee
