Knew I had a dog song somewhere
[intro]
[solo brass band]
[verse 1]
People stuff their faces till,
they've ate too much and feel sick.
Never know when you got all you need,
like me, my dog, and a stick.
[chorus]
So stop and look around you,
what you built brick by brick.
Tell me you feel better than,
me, my dog, and a stick.
[verse 2]
They don't call it a rat race for nothin'
even the rat's have got more brains.
Than to fight over something that'll kill ya,
pollute the earth, and block ya drains.
[chorus]
So stop and look around you,
what you built brick by brick.
Tell me you feel better than,
me, my dog, and a stick.
[verse 3]
What ya do when you got everything?
Nail it to a wall and admire the view?
Or pile it up one mile high,
to stop the rest from getting at you.
[chorus]
So stop and look around you,
what you built brick by brick.
Tell me you feel better than,
me, my dog, and a stick.
[verse 4]
The richest man in the world
Is the one with nowhere to fall
Cos he's got one thing you'll never have
no worries about losing it all
[chorus]
So stop and look around you,
what you built brick by brick.
Tell me you feel better than,
me, my dog, and a stick.
[bridge]
When your sittin in your gold cage,
and all around you's gettin' sick
Consider those who are better off,
like me, my dog, and a stick.
[chorus]
So stop and look around you,
what you built brick by brick.
Tell me you feel better than,
me, my dog, and a stick.
[outro]
Never know when you got all you need,
like me, my dog, and a stick.

Dang! Just when I thought I was the queen of dog songs, lol! Or, StoneFlowers, the king.. Very interesting and unique, Sid how you used man's best friend in this song! My favorite is V4; reminds me of Bukowski's Monday's Millionaires (I think that's the name of one of many of his gritty poems). And I love the happy-go-lucky music! Very cool groove! Lovin' it! Wishin' I wrote it, even! 😜 Now, I be dancin' in my livin' room . . .
Now, I gotta dig for more doggie songs!
