I like the visual imagery in this one, I'm picturing a woman framed against a bright blue sky. It has a slightly surreal feeling, and that fits with the "dream" you mention. That's definitely the vibe it gives me.

If you want to know the lyrics are meaningful here. It tells of a dream where things are very pleasant but when you awake the reality is not the same. It's not nearly as pleasant. In fact some people, many people, simply don't feel physically well in their waking life. Sometimes it's temporary,; other times if it lifelong, unfortunately.

What microphone are you considering? A microphone is important, as Chris suggested before, but a good DAW is equally important. I currently use Mixcraft Pro Studio 10.5, but when I build my next PC, I will transition to Cubase, which is far better than Mixcraft. The sound quality of your songs would improve a lot with a good DAW. Unfortunately, the current sound quality of this song, Fields of Azure, sounds like a blown out car speaker with the volume turned all the way up. That's the result of a bad mix, not your songwriting skills.

This has a bit of a Smashing Pumpkins vibe to it, in my humble opinion. New mix would be great. There are free DAWs out there, free drum vsts, bass vsts, and others. A bit more structure and timing would help this song immensely, but I have no idea what you’re aiming for! I like the song itself.0
