Let's Play Rock And Roll (3 melodies)
I took one of my songs written in 2019 and asked SUNO to do something with the lyrics.
The prompt was: solid rock, catchy.
Here are 3 versions: mine with my ukulele and 2 produced by SUNO.
1- My own version : my voice + ukulele. Length: 2:37

SUNO version 1 has worked out well for the song. Version 2 however sounds like many other SUNO creations, I've had a similar style and vocal before. In saying that, as an absolute beginner at SUNO it still fascinates me how clever it is and how good it sounds.
Your original version is much better to my ears. It's more raw and edgy with those Jerry Lee Lewis type lyrics. It's a nice arrangement and your voice is well recorded. I think it would sound better with guitar, bass and drums. Other than that it's a good rock and roll song!

All three versions are good, but you would be comparing apples with oranges, two with a full production, one without. Focusing on your own, an excellent submission, considering the use of a ukulele and minimalist chords, a great song, well done.

It is interesting to give one of your songs to Suno or similar and see what it does with it. I've done similar experiments. I think we probably want it to do a better job of the same song, but that isn't what you get! It creates something different inspired by your song. And how you prompt it makes a significant difference.
V1 of Suno is a decent version for the lyric, quite different to your own of course! But quite pleasant to listen to.
V2 feels a bit bland, it lacks a distinct style compared to V1 or your original.
But your original version stands up pretty well against what you can generate with AI, at least for the moment!!

Well, I love your vocal and uke songs and this is no exception. They're charming, all the more so because of your great voice.
Suno? Both versions sound okay to me..in an AI kind of way. But you don't need to go down that route imo. An interesting experiment I guess.
