Original song: Love you my dear

This song is the first of an album. I had it online for a while and I received some emails from people in the Nordic countries, particularly asking for the lyrics. I think I know why. It's the classically based, electric guitar mixed with strange vocals in a kind of pop/rock sound. Here it is:

The intro is surprising, a horizon of guitars surrounding the voice, voices, I didn't understand anything about the lyrics, it would be good if you shared them?

The recording has blows from the voice, take care of that aspect next time, I'm telling you because you can avoid it in your new works. @robwills

  • Thanks. As I indicated I will be getting the good condenser microphone which should imp[rove the sound quality. I'll post the lyrics later.

  • Lyrics:

    I went to Sennen

    Some years ago

    I'm right here

    I'm over there

    Love you my dear

    I went to Skirza

    You wouldn't understand

    I've got no fear

    I'm right, right here

    Love you my dear

  • The guitar playing is strong as always!

The lyric feels pretty light, or at least it doesn't convey much to me.

I didn't listen to the album, so I don't know how much context that applies to this specific track.

I feel like some of your other songs are stronger.

  • Sorry Rob,

Didn't get it at all I'm afraid.

    Sid

  • Granted this is the first song of yours that I've ever heard, so my suggestion might be completely anathema to you, but I think additional instrumentation (drums & bass at a minimum) would really flesh this out. The guitar has a really great sound, it's just doing all of the work here.

Creepy, vibey vocals - T.Rex in a haunted house.

The opening is great! Sounds like a national anthem or something like that :-D

  • Yes, almost all my songs need additional instrumentation. That may happen in the future. If I told you what's going on here it would total fiction.

As far as the lyrics, I rarely consider lyrics to any major degree but this song I did more so and I'm a little surprised that no one "got it", particularly people in the UK, because both Sennen and Skirza are towns at opposite ends of the UK and by the sea.
