Lucky In Love

The Queen of Hearts vs The Queen of Diamonds...
When you found me baby
I’d been rollin for a while
With hard luck dice
Down a dead end mile
When I found you baby
The stars called time
And like a lucky charm
I couldn’t leave you behind
When the planets aligned
Fortune rained from above
The tumblers clicked
I hit the right stop
Never won nothing on the spinning wheel
No pot of gold from above
And then around a blind corner
I fell lucky in luuuuuuve
From the staaaaaaars above
Look who fell lucky lucky in love
Games of chance never been my friend
Always come up empty
When I’m playing to win
Stacks of cards with colors and names
All of my money
Gone down the drain
Queen of diamonds hides her face away
Somewhere deep in the deck
Queen of Hearts brings us together
She’s the mother of higher love
Never won nothing on the spinning wheel
No pot of gold from above
And then around a blind corner
I fell lucky in luuuuuuve
From the staaaaaaars above
Look who fell lucky lucky in love
Break
Games of chance Cards and craps
Never got me nothing But bad circumstance
Round a blind corner A true romance
Well it hit me like a brick
With a powerful glance
Never won nothing on the spinning wheel
No pot of gold from above
And then around a blind corner
I fell lucky in luuuuuuuve
From the staaaaaaars above
Loogoo fell lucky lucky in love
I said luuuuuuuve
From the staaaaaaars above
Loogoo fell lucky lucky in love

Another good one SF, running out of superlatives to describe your work, particular re your instrumental break, really enjoyed that. exceptional line, Loogoo fell lucky lucky in love, loved that, just rolled off the tongue!

Hey thanks Sid. Yeah I was wondering if anybody would catch the "loogoo" play on words.

Love that bluesy vocal! That's the highlight for me.
The gambling metaphors work really well too
Good strong chorus.
I don't really understand the "Loogoo" reference beyond being a slur on "Look who".

The first thing that hit me here was your great voice. Another great song - just vocal and guitar and it works so well. I don't understand the 'Loogoo' line either, but it doesn't matter cos it fits perfectly. Excellent.
