The symptoms of love

The symptoms of love
[verse]
I find your smile intriguing.
Your eyes mesmerize me.
I can’t seem to resist you.
You’re a mystery to me.
[pre chorus]
I want to know more about you.
Understand the secrets you hide.
What makes you irresistible?
What has me so damn mesmerized?
[chorus]
I’ve got all the symptoms, all the symptoms.
All the symptoms of love.
I’ve got all the symptoms, all the symptoms.
All the symptoms of love.
[verse]
I find your laugh contagious.
Your words are poetry.
The rhythm of your body
is calling out for me.
[pre chorus]
I want to know more about you.
Understand the secrets you hide.
What makes you irresistible;
What has me so damn mesmerized?
[chorus]
I’ve got all the symptoms, all the symptoms;
All the symptoms of love.
I’ve got all the symptoms all the symptoms;
all the symptoms of love.
[verse]
I find your mind engaging.
your thoughts interest me.
make me ask myself questions.
regarding you and me.
[bridge]
You smile when I smile
you gaze in my eyes.
You hang on every word I say.
You long for my touch.
You ache to be kissed.
You dream about our wedding day.
[verse]
You find my smile intriguing.
my eyes mesmerize you.
You can’t seem to resist me.
I’m a mystery to you.
[chorus]
You’ve got all the symptoms, all the symptoms;
all the symptoms of love.
You’ve got all the symptoms, all the symptoms;
all the symptoms of love.

  • I really like this. It's innocent and to the point. These words could work with a number of musical styles. I'd go country rock as the chorus would work really well. 😀

  • I’ve tried numerous times with Suno and the closest I’ve got to what I wanted was country rock! Still not satisfied! Sometimes a lyric just needs to been done by people who feel it!

    I would echo Chris's comments, with one reservation, the chorus, repetition is very tricky to put over. Fully concur with your assessment that it would be better served by real musicians and vocals. Ai can't deliver what this needs.

    Springsteen's "back in your arms" would be the nearest I can think of to handle chorus repetition well.

    Sweet lyrics! I like how they both have the same "symptoms" mutual feelings. For some reason all I could think of initially was Robert Palmer's song "Addicted to Love" and hearing the chorus more like: I've got all the symptoms, the symptoms of love" repeating as his chorus does.

    Also, if you do a re-write you could think about possibly adding fantasize in there somewhere to rhyme with mesmerize. That's was something that popped into my head while reading it.

  • Yep crossed my mind. Thanks!
