Heart still beats for you

Hello all ~

Been quite a while since I posted here. Wish I had more time to devote to my hobby but life gets in the way πŸ˜€ Still been learning Band in a Box and been posting stuff for a kids channel on YT.

Anyway, threw this one together. Just a scratch vocal take.

Thanks for listening and any feedback. Have a great day!

in this crazy world couldn't find no peace of mind

true love and forgiveness, were so hard to find

Everywhere I looked, there's a storm inside,

but I find my heart's still keeping time for you

Β

too many times I'd been taken for a fool

got so hard to follow the golden rule

all the other guys just seemed to pass me by

left out in the street they left me high and dry but not you

my hearts still beats for you

you're the one to see me through

my hearts still beats for you

my heart still beats…..

In the darkest nights no one would hear my cry

got so cold and lonely thought that I would die

You warm my lonely nights, stay right here by my side

you'll be right next to me, never to say goodbye

my hearts still beats for you

you're the one to see me through

my hearts still beats for you

my heart still beats…..

I'm surprised you don't have any comments yet! This is so cool, was that instrumental made with band in a box? It sounds fantastic. I love the harmonica and lead guitar in the background in particular, really gives it that nostalgic sound factor, like early Beatles meets classic country rock. Your voice is really good as well. I would 100% save this to one of my youtube playlists, it's that good. Thanks for sharing and I look forward to hearing more!

Very good song, nice foot stomping beat.

really love this type of music, lifts your spirit.

lyrics were excellent, good storyline well constructed.

    All put together nicely,

    Enjoyed it very much,

    Thank you.

  • Good rhythm and mood to it, and it matches the lyric.

Good structure to the lyric, and it comes out very smoothly.

It's really solid as is, but probably needs some original element to make it stand out more from the crowd.

    Very enjoyable, easy listen.

  • Loving this. If this is a scratch vocal take, then it's really strong. Love that harmonica! Great stuffπŸ˜€

Hello everyone πŸ˜€ Thanks so much for the compliments! πŸ‘

@BeatlesFan64 yes, it was all composed with BIAB. I am still learning the ins and outs of it. Just purchased it a couple of months ago.

Looking forward to posting some other tunes sometime soon and reviewing others work also! πŸ˜€

  • Love the harmonica! Cool song!

Very cool song, @Plain_Jane! Your awesome vocals remind me a bit of Deborah Harry. If she were to cover her own song "The Tide is High" as a country-genre song, I think her vocals may sound a bit like yours. Nice work! A very clear mix and production, clever lyrics, and cool use of the harmonica! I enjoyed listening. Thanks for sharing! πŸ˜€

    Cheers,

Thanks Joseph! I grew up listening and singing to a lot of Blondie records (yes, vinyl records back in the day πŸ˜€) so maybe I have subconciously incorporated that in the my singing as I never had professional training....I'm a self taught vocalist πŸ˜€ Thanks for listening!

@Plain_Jane That's awesome! I enjoyed the 80s music a lot, too, and still do. I had quite the vinyl albums and singles collection back then. I would love to sing a duet with you if you're ever up for it. Uptempo 80s genre of course! I'll write a couple and see what you think. Maybe we can convince @ChrisPrice to produce it. πŸ˜€

    Cheers,

    Joseph
