Back To The Beginning Lyrics

<1st verse>
Drove yesterday,
Look to my right,
There's the building
Of the memory of my life
<chorus>
Back to the beginning
Where I belong
Back to the beginning
Where I was taught
To be strong
If once wrong,
We sung along,
Gone,
The days of feeling wronged
<2nd verse>
I sit at a table for two
Although I am one
All my glue
Has been dried up
They knocked down the walls
That meant so much
<chorus>
Back to the beginning
Where I belong
Back to the beginning
Where I was taught to be strong,
If once was wrong, we sung along
Gone,
The days of feeling wronged
<bridge>
I see the shadows of all those I love
Sit across from me
I see the memory,
Of what use to be
<chorus>
Back to the beginning,
Where I belong,
Back to the beginning,
Where I was taught to be strong,
If once was wrong, we sung along,
Gone,
The days of feelings wronged
Drove yesterday,
Look to my right,
There's the building
Of the memory of my life
<chorus>
Back to the beginning
Where I belong
Back to the beginning
Where I was taught
To be strong
If once wrong,
We sung along,
Gone,
The days of feeling wronged
<2nd verse>
I sit at a table for two
Although I am one
All my glue
Has been dried up
They knocked down the walls
That meant so much
<chorus>
Back to the beginning
Where I belong
Back to the beginning
Where I was taught to be strong,
If once was wrong, we sung along
Gone,
The days of feeling wronged
<bridge>
I see the shadows of all those I love
Sit across from me
I see the memory,
Of what use to be
<chorus>
Back to the beginning,
Where I belong,
Back to the beginning,
Where I was taught to be strong,
If once was wrong, we sung along,
Gone,
The days of feelings wronged

I particularly like the Bridge in this one. It's very visual and evocative.

I agree with RDM, the bridge is one of the most evocative bits here, though I also really liked "There's the building of the memory of my life", and "All my glue / Has been dried up / They knocked down the walls / That meant so much"
The overwhelming sense of melancholy and loneliness really comes through in these lines, and of course, the chorus, with its wistful tone. Well done 👍️
