Latest update. Problems still the same as before, however since you've taken the trouble to come to TSF, I'll send you away with a bit of a solution. Instead of using version 3.5 use v3.0. The option button is above the box where you enter your lyrics between custom and upload audio. Remember though, your first segment is 2 min NOT 4 min and subsequent section times are 1 minute long, so cut your lyrics to suit and join them together at the end. Worked for me!

I strongly advise pick up a guitar and learn to sing . But a warning its going to take longer then 4 minutes , but yes you will be repeating yourself over and over and over and over and over again, Don't worry about all those divorces over ( Cowboy chords and 1234) Just a minor annoyance.

update:
Suno some minor improvements but only minor, my prompt included Old man vocals. male vocals and it still gave me a young female teen singer, Ai is turning into an Oxymoron, emphasis on the moron!
Udio, users check the section at the bottom of the create page which has your number of credits and usage.
They may be offering you a chance to earn extra credits (up to 50/day) simply by listening to a couple of tracks 10secs and rating them, check it out!

Todays update,
Suno
Same old, same old. How can anyone feel threatened when these geeks can't even write code to distinguish male from female. For IPO read RIP.
New Suno Prompts:
Male vocals. NOT FEMALE!!!!!, Bass, Bass, Bass, In the style of Barry White, Leonard Cohen, Johnny Cash, or Tom Waits, definitely not Tiny Tim, (Not the one outta Dickens)
CREATE: Ahhhhhhhhh, I've got a Mr Marlboro wrestlin' a steer to the sounds of My Boy Lollipop by Millie Small.
Where's that guitar with only 5 strings, gotta be better than this!

Tip of the Day.
If you're on the free version of Suno, try to use your credits up at least 15 minutes before the renewal time.
A few instances where the credits were used up minutes before renewal time but new credits didn't appear, the count remained on zero until the following day.

As it stands, you would have a better success rate playing Whack-a-Mole blindfolded than getting what you're after out of Suno. Bored with gender shuffle, the Geeks have moved on to giving you duos when you prompted solo vocals. Why not, Beta usually means some problems as they move forward, in the case of Suno it's major disasters while they hurtle backwards! Only in the Tech industry would they have the brass neck, (nerve) to take your money, deliver nothing but a heap of frustration and not refund you with an abject apology for having conned you. At least some suits should go on the roof and make a symbolic gesture of throwing their share options off, it's the honourable thing to do.
Sid
P.S. Have you noticed that deafening silence from all those Tech Journo's who a month ago were raving about Suno and Udio? Going on like it was the second coming. In case you all have sudden brain fog or writers block, here's a sample headline you can use to ease that feeling of guilt. "I am so Sorry, I Screwed up Persuading you to Waste your Hard-Earned Money on This Rubbish. I will return my Free Yearly Subscription Immediately."

It's like watching the Titanic circling that giant sinkhole, Suno is fast approaching it's own event horizon, the cluster f**k of it's own making is taking on a life of it's own. Tech Journo's are deleting all their previous glowing reports and expressing no knowledge of any start-up called "dunno" The spokesman for Suno, who looks suspiciously like the janitor, Gerry Gobspanger, wearing a suit jacket showing his elbows and smelling of bleach, states everything is fine, nothing to worry about, move along!
The bandwagon has lost a wheel and is shoved in the corner of the staff carpark, minus one Maraca. The lines of recovery trucks are picking up the Porsches, while exec's wearing bags over their heads whizz by on e-scooters.
Gerry clearly relishing the prospect of more press conferences picks up his bucket and goes inside using the side entrance.
Just another day at Suno, the wunderkind of Ai IPO offerings in the offing.

Just a word to the wise for anyone who has OCD. Avoid using Udio if you like a clean and tidy workspace.
If, like me, you have a tendency to clean up after you. teenagers can stop reading at this point, be very careful pressing the send to trash option. You may think your just clearing up the leftovers in front of you but if there's anything in there that you saved to playlists or loved/liked it's going to delete them too! Would it be too much to ask to have a user vault were anything put in there can only be erased from inside the vault. I know, that's a great idea, but there again, I'm not a Geek so commonsense is hardwired into me and the rest, (well most). Here's a working mantra to get you through the rest of the day, "The user saves stuff cos he wants to keep it, he only trashes stuff he doesn't", repeat that three times between gulps of Red Bull, there's a good chap!

Hark the Angels blow the trumpets to herald the arrival of the iOS version.
Now you can have an app that doesn't work on your iPhone as well as your PC.
The gift that just keeps on taking. Never mind, it can't tell Male from Female, or maybe that's the new androgynous version!
What about an underwater version that doesn't operate properly if you're standing in a puddle. The mind boggles at the prospect of what versions can be released that don't work in lots of different places. Beat that Udio!

The Doomsday clock ticketh (ticketh?) on getting ever closer to our demise.
Except of course if your looking at the digital version developed by Suno Geeks.
Depending on where you click, you'll either have another 25,000 years to go before midnight or your 10 minutes past oblivion.
How is this possible, you may ask?
Well it doesn't come easy, it take minutes of training and experience in SunoWorld before you are let loose to develop such things as an EXTENSION TIMER.
Yes folks, that little widget sitting at the bottom of your create space appears when you press extend.
For over a week this little but critical function has been suffering from Extensile Dysfunction, try putting a time in.
It's either Suno's attempt to enter the gaming sector or the Geeks have been mainlining the Red Bull again.
It's like a digital "Whack-a-Mole", virtually impossible to put a time in without it dancing all over the place giving a passable performance of a demented Gerbil.
I think Suno are taking the position that fixing the timer is a waste of time, (couldn't resist it), why bother when the extend function doesn't work anyway, It would simply be a case of putting the wrong thing in the wrong place at the wrong time.
Latest in: Just to prove that Suno's exec's are glued to this discussion, they have announced they will be inventing a Tech Bro's version, (including one for iOS) of Viagra, doesn't solve any problems just makes them easier to spot, ingenious!

You know, if you walked into Walmart and ordered a bicycle, (or whoever sells bikes in the U.S.), and a week later you went back to pick it up. When you open the box, you find it has square wheels, you would be forgiven for being a bit miffed.
Then the salesman says, but it's a Beta version, would that help, No! it bloody wouldn't!
Suno, millions of people have given you millions of dollars and in return you've sold them a bike with square wheels.
Doesn't matter that it's Beta, it's junk and your still taking money under false pretenses,
If you are to salvage any vestige of self respect, refund those who have subscribed and have the investors fund the development themselves. The game is up, subscribers wont be given any shares in the IPO so why should they be expected to fund the R & D, shame on you, you darling little Capitalists.

I use LALAI - it is great for splitting tracks on old songs or removing vocals I'm not happy with on tracks I no longer have the master.

Extract from Suno's team blurb:
We are proud alumni of pioneering tech companies like Meta, TikTok and Kensho, where our founding team worked together before starting Suno. We like to shi* code, make music and drink coffee.
Sorry that was "ship code" whatever that means. Considering this esteemed alumni's performance maybe I was right the first time.
Make music? Sorry, but try as I may, I cannot find any genres that repeat the same verses Ad infinitum, that's Latin too, does that make me sound clever too, oh go on, let me join the coffee club.
Where was I? Ah, shipping code, no, not that, stuck in my brain now! Stuck, that was it.
Making music that ignores what you want, does whatever it feels like, repeats the last verse it just played, switches male for female vocals, throws in duos went you want a solo, think we're gonna need a bigger boat load of coffee alumni!
Now let's see, you take a ton of money from millions of people, deliver something that doesn't work, make no apology or offer any refund, in fact don't make any mention of this "ship show" on your web page at all.
Alumni! try Aluminium all shine and no strength, symbol Al or should that be Ai.
Update on this pile of ship, not satisfied with ignoring your lyrics Dunno is adding words from your prompts into the intro now.
Alumni!! in case it slipped your notice, Latin is a dead language, a bit like your code really, carry on,

This is my last contribution to this thread, time to move on. To all those who gave their time to read my comments, I thank you. Every failing by Suno/Udio was honestly reported because each happened to me whilst using Suno/Udio. Every tip I gave you, I used myself. Honesty in the Tech and Music business is a rare commodity, they make good bedfellows. If your thinking of subscribing to any Ai app, I strongly advise you to try it for a month and write down all its failings or where it falls short.
Go through this list and only then decide, is what your getting, not what they're promising, worth the money.
Thanks for reading, enjoyed your company.

Update,
For the benefit of those thinking things must have changed with the issue of new versions.
THEY HAVEN'T, IF ANYTHING, THEY'RE WORSE!
These "whack-a-vocal" apps are complete rubbish and not worth a cent of your hard-earned money.
The venture-capitalists are getting you to fund their research using false promises and products that don't work anything like what they say on the tin!
Save your money and only use the free versions till they get it right, you have been warned!

For use with Suno 3.5 Full Song
Tired of Suno repeating verse 3!
Use this
here's a great tip, I guarantee works.
To improve stability, i.e stop Suno doing its own thing after verse 3.
Change section names from standard to these:
verse [Exposition]
chorus [Development]
bridge [Transition]
pre-chorus [Consequent]
intro, outro, leave as is
gets rid of those verse repeats and generally makes it more stable.

i know this is an old thread but I've recently joined so here s my bit on this.
I use Ai to turn lyrics i write into demos, I've found that it takes more than a simple few words to get what you want and so it should.
you have to be as specific as you can within the 200 character limit for it to give good results, it works perfectly for demos but if you want actual songs you can release, well maybe but ppl will know its Ai.

Thanks to RDM for sharing this resource.
LoudMe, another Ai Music Generator on the block.
Tech ("no I shouldn't, no it's not ethical, oh, all right then, thank you" Journo's, LoudMe, the greatest thing since sliced bread.
Sid ("to little to bother bribing") Shovel, on par with those dispensing machines you find in hospitals. They work, but don't expect to get out what you want!
LoudMe is a very, very basic app, cheap copy of Udio and Suno, bit like Spaghetti Bolognese without the pasta.
Says it's free but it isn't, 20 strikes and you're out, want more, pay more, not exactly free is it!
Snake oil salesmen, been 3 days since I hit my limit and it hasn't reset, go figure!
Couldn't find anywhere that mentioned free limits, says it all to me.
Have a play then walk away, don't listen to the Tech Journo's, they're still playin' with their new Rolex's.
That advice applies to all Ai Music Generators at the moment, use the free versions only till they improve enough to justify your time and money, let the venture capitalists fund the research not you!
Trust the Shovel, to cut through the sh*t.

SO new to everything but I have been immersed in learning how to get suno AI to do as I want using meta tags and basic descriptors. At first I believed it to be pure garbage as any song I would try to generate would skip lyrics or not keep them in the correct order after about a minute or so. I kepts banging my head wondering if my code or prompts were wrong, they weren't.
After more and more research and poking around forums for ai scripting, I found a site which relayed one piece of important info. Songs in suno are not made in one pass. They are made in many and then strung together by the ai.
This changed the game where the song is concerned. Now I still do not like using it as it isn't music as humans know music, it is whatever it is.
- When you generate your first iteration, listen to both tracks provided, select one track, thumb mark it and follow it until the lyrics begin to go awry. Find a spot prior to that and note the time.
- Use the extend button to extend the song from that noted time. (extend displays below the title section and uses 00:00 for time)
- Generate another two tracks. It may or may not pick up exactly where you intended and give you another 'snip' of your song continued from your selected time. (first clip cut after second verse, second track picks up at end of second verse and continues) Do this again for the next section then rinse and repeat until you have the entire song in different tracks.
- Note that next to the title there will be an icon showing a small chain and a pt2, pt3 etc... This is so you don't lose which part is which. Thumb them and delete the non-useful track clips.
- When finished choose the first track and click the 3 dot option then select create and finally select Get Whole Song.
- This assembles the piece into a coherent musical number where your lyrics are not discombobulated.
I've yet to actually do this to completion as I have only a free account and have to wait for more credits each day.
If you want to use stylesheets instead of the basic descriptors, its easy. There are templates on a few sites that helped me understand and use. Basically a stylesheet determines the style of something, in this case a song. It contains the info we have in our minds about the song. Genre, mood, tempo, instruments etc...
All stylesheets are based upon a simple title and operator. An example is: <meta name="genre" content="elevator music"/> All tag open with < symbol then have their designator which is always inside the parenthesis. In this example it is "genre". The content of genre is "elevator music" and finally the tag is always closed using />
All of this is entered above the lyrics which also fits inside a tag called, you guessed it lyrics. <meta name="lyrics" content=" Baaah baaah black sheep"/> This means that after your lyrics and any other things you must have "/>
Is it worth paying for the AI, no! Is it a technology that will eventually find its way past our ability to create music, possibly if the right model is introduced such as Reactive Learning but for now we enter lyrics and descriptors and AI chooses what to do with it.
So as a means to showcase lyrics to the word audibly without having a singing voice or equipment, it works with effort, lots of effort but way less than actually making the song as it should be made. BY HUMANS!
So while ai is fun to play with, and useful for those like myself who can't sing or play an instrument, it does give a measure of pleasure to hear an idea expressed audibly.

Thanks Prysmatyk,
A lot of useful info you shared. My position has always been like you, don't buy till they get it right, there are more holes in these apps than a colander. They don't grasp the concept that customers shouldn't pay for a product's shortfalls, till they do, don't pay for their R & D.

Update on aimusic, Ai Music Generator.
Had a look at it, don't bother, usual con, doesn't work properly.
As a free option which is enough for 5 free songs assuming everything goes perfect which it doesn't.
They don't even give you the opportunity to correct their screw-ups.
To extend (read correct), you have to subscribe, (yeh right!)
You can't even download the rubbish you create without subscription.
How are you an' your mates to have a good laugh at the MIT geeks?
Take your 100 bucks, flush it down the toilet, quicker, less painful, same result.
If ever these thievin' idiots wake up an' smell the coffee, I'll let you know.

Suno are at it again, they 've just introduced a feature called Personas which effectively is something that may reduce the number of false starts that their app continues to produce instead of getting it right first time. Now you might think, that's good of them fixing their mistakes, but wait, they're gonna charge you more for using it! So let's get this straight, you break it, but we pay to fix it, right? This has got all the hallmarks of a Tech Bro ripoff. Force you to use more and more credits just to get what you thought you paid for in the first place, a working app! Don't pay for a subscription for this rubbish, use the free app instead.
Sid

Beware of extending when you get near the end of a song with Suno. Very often it will generate clips of just a few seconds, less than 7 secs you get refunded 8 secs and over hard luck you wasted 5 credits. Both generate rubbish anyway. Generate an extension starting further back in the song say 30s from the end and use v.3, it's more stable. If your using the free version of the app, you lose ten credits anyway cos they refund you 5 but you can't use them, minimum to generate two songs is 10, pure genius, no wonder everyone wants to go to MIT!
While I'm here, tried Tad Ai, good for anyone still on L-plates with Ai. Basic but still charge roughly the same as Suno/Udio, so try but don't subscribe. Give you three free songs/day, good for a lunchbreak checkout. Very simple, probably designed for MIT TWITs!

Planned Maintenance, the Tech Bro's euphemism for major cock-up. Suno was down today for scheduled maintenance, the same message they put out over the Titanic's tannoy! We'll be down for an hour while we wait for the Fire Brigade to arrive. Cometh the hour, gone the Bro's, there was a sudden rush to download songs, so they couldn't do yours, coincidence, really! If Suno went down to fix their problems, they would never be up. Given that the same major problems are still there since start-up, what do they do during scheduled maintenance. Scratch that, now I can't unsee it, damn you.
Good job I'm not paying for this rubbish, think I'll go check Suno careers, might be an opening for a Maintenance Man, always wanted one of those belts that hold a whole tool box around your waist.
Nope still down, that's what you get for being so popular........and useless.

If you're getting "song generation stuck" messages, check you haven't got any references to singers/bands/songs in your prompt. If you have, remove them and try again. Suno used to tell you, now they don't. I wonder why! "Not me m'lud, I know nuffin'." said the MIT Tech Bro to the Supreme Court Judge.
What's with the captcha needed to generate a song, DOS iz havvening comrade! Niet! regular maintenance, da?

Suno say v.4 has dropped, Shovel say ball dropped.
What's the point of releasing another version when none of the faults in the previous versions have been solved. Dash to the IPO finishing line where you con a load of punters to invest their savings in what is effectively, a pile of junk. Why not introduce a new feature like a screw-up recorder where users get to notate all the problems with every version that haven't been fixed yet.
Noted the new strategy/con to charge extra credits for using certain features that you would expect to be standard. Desperate to raise more money of existing punters now the gloss is wearing thin and new users are realising how bad the app is!
