So, what's the matter with me ?

She's inside me and she can't hide

I spend half my life telling lies

I imagine gloss on my lips

and playing with my golden hair

I've tried many things to take her place

but she won't go away

who does she think that she is ?

but I know that she saved my life

there's days that I could scream

but nobody really hears my noise

Will somebody save me ?

before my heart begins to break

I don't where it starts and where it ends

like everyone else I try to pretend

I know the world is changing

but is it fast enough ?

Will I be remembered

or just be a patch of grass ?

I don't look in the mirror

I don't like, what looks back

So what's the matter with me ?

    Hi Katie.

I usually measure lyrics on whether they draw me in to the story. This one did that in the first verse and kept me there till the end. Well done, enjoyed the visuals in the words.

  • has a very raw, bruised quality to it. Very intense.

In terms of a song, the "Will somebody save me ?" part is where I felt I could imagine someone singing that out

You may be able to make more of "So what's the matter with me ?" as it feels vital to the song.
