Apollo
I seem to be going through a manic power pop thing at the moment. I wrote this song way back in 1979! I just recorded it again as it got mentioned at a recent band practice. It's hardly my finest overture but I think it's fun. Two minutes of real rock n roll, and dare I say an antidote the AI obsession that seems to be consuming everyone just now.
APOLLO
Written and performed by Chris Price ©1979
You stand and wonder while I burn to a hot guitar
Watch with dumb amazement as I’m reaching for the stars
Are you comin’ with me, I’m gonna turn you
Seeing is believing, if I’m not wrong
Through unknown galaxies I’m gonna take you on your way
Into the stars above, heaven and back again
You know you’re lucky to be the chosen one
Faster than apollo, speeding more than time
Apollo..oooooh !!

Yeah, there's more than a hint of punk about about this song. But it was written as a post-punk power pop song. I can do better now but I had a lot of fun revisiting this one. Thanks for listening.😀

Ah simpler times! I love it.
That's a great sound. Just lean into it and let go. What's not to like?

Every generation says it was simpler times , When in fact its about the same . a baby born today will say in 2084 " Ahh it was simpler times back then and drum roll " they don't make music like they used to
